The Hotel Ottoman City Istanbul

Unfortunately we had booked this hotel and we had to arrive late due to our bus reaching Istanbul early in the morning at 4 AM. The guys at the reception were sleepy and did not know English, thus it was difficult to communicate with them.
To our surprise the access card for the room was not working and their latch was also broken. We had to visit reception thrice to get a suitable room for us. It was really a bad experience.

In the morning the breakfast was closed even before 10 AM which was supposed to be the time for closing. They did not listen to our request as we arrived on odd times in the morning, so we had to do with the leftover food items.

Horrible horrible place in a wrong side of town location. From language barrier to doors not locking to the same breakfast served every day. The worst part is there is an employee that unlocked my door every day of my stay there and always acted shocked when he found me there! The door to my balcony would not lock despite having a key in there. I reported the matter countless times to no help. Pictures on the website are a far cry from what the hotel actually looks like. The cleaning staff threw away my eye medication while cleaning but refused to take accountability. The reception staff always promise to fix things or report but never do. I would never recommend any self respecting person to book that hotel as my stay there was a horrible experience!

Scammers who are able to lie for couple euros
Do not book there and ruin your holiday , better to pay a little bit more and go somewhere where you can sleep safely
Stuff are so disrespectful and rude , the hotel smelled so bad and manager himself was worse, all they want is money without offering any service.

Ordinary hotel, popular location and a lot of noise in the street and around you. Breakfast is the same every day. Only in a plate and you do not choose what you want. Pictures and hotel advertisements do not match reality when you see them on the hotel page. Finally, thanks to the hotel staff, especially Mr. Farhad, the respectful and understanding young man. Thanks for everything.

The staff is rude, it's not covid safe.
We heard its not safe place, we only stayed there one night.
But the room is beautiful and good

Bad service client who doesnt speak english well, as well racism since two workers start talking about us in their language

Never ever anybody go to this cheap hotel.the cleaner's are thieves.the steals stuff from rooms.they are enter in the room if no one in room.without anyone's permission. Nothing save there.so please never go for this rubbish hotel.many thanks

We were in The Ottoman City Hotel for 2 days. The employees were good people. However,
1. Doors were without keys. When you always leave the room, one of the staff at the front desk comes and opens the door and takes the key with himself so that you can enter your room again. You have nothing left at hand. Worse, you cannot lock the door from the inside either. Someone with the key of the door can open and enter your room at any time. It is very insecure. Especially I wouldn't recommend it to women.

2. Rooms are not clean at all (especially during the Covid-19 outbreak). The base, mattress and pillow are very dirty. Moreover, the pillows are very hard. You can't sleep!

3. No light room. The main light is not working. Why is that? Because you don't have the card that is used as the door key. Only the toilet light was working.

I definitely wouldn't recommend it. I will not go back to that hotel again

Nice Location but the rooms facing the street are extremely noisy
