Very Poor Service Experience

I recently stayed at "İstanbul Ozyurt Hotel Kumkapi" from 16th to 25th August, choosing it primarily for its budget-friendly pricing and superb location. The hotel is situated in a very convenient spot, with close proximity to major attractions like the Marmara Sea beach, Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Grand Bazaar, Yenikapı Metro Station, Kumkapı Rail Station, and Istanbul University Tram Station. The Sultanahmet street food area is also nearby, offering a memorable experience with its delicious food and live music.

However, the positive aspects end there. The hotel experience was marred by the unfriendly and unprofessional behavior of the hotel manager, Salim, who is from Lebanon. During our 9-night stay, we were shocked to find that the hotel provided no room service at all. The room was never cleaned, towels and bed sheets were not replaced, and we had to clean the room ourselves and dispose of the waste. Despite several requests for basic amenities like soap, shampoo, and water, they were never provided.

The lack of hospitality and service made our stay uncomfortable, and unfortunately, due to our tight schedule, we were unable to change hotels. This is a place to stay only if location is your sole priority and you’re prepared to manage without any hotel services.

It is dirty and really small. It is more than obvious that they don’t clean it and it’s disgusting.

Nothing like the photos posted. If you want to experience what is like to sleep in the jail or even worse come here. Its dirty and ugly as hell. We could not take photos of rooms because guy from reception would not let us and he told that he is going to call the police so we left the hotel.

There were roaches in my room! Could leave cause was jammed with time. Soo terrible! This is not what it seems on the photos! I booked a "See view" room - what a joke.... I saw a tiny speck of it but this is not a room you could enjoy a see view even if you could see it... photos were probably taken 20 yrs ago, clearly renovations have never been in the plan. The only highlight is the friendly staff, other use it would be 0 stars.

Stuff not friendly at all specially the person who works in the night shift.
He was very rude when I asked him to help.
The dirtiest room I have ever seen, I stayed there for five night I have just managed to sleep for two days because that I have been bitten by many bugs.
Actually, It was worst experience I have ever had.
I advise everyone who wants to book avoid this hotel.

It's only a catastrophe. Very dirty, very old, agressive maid, owner not reachable, no elevator, every day someone other at the reception and at the and a young guy, wo is a self proclaimed guardian of public morals. You really shouldn't invest your time, energy and money in this place.
The streets around are also dirty, loud and not really safe.
If it would be possible, I would give 0 stars.
We book the room on the same day in this place and get a price of 200 Lira per night. It isn't worth it.
The rooms at the 5th floor are little bit better than the others, so they give it to persons, who come from boooking.com

There was no water pressure- the shower was not working. There was no elevators. We waited a long time to get accommodated. The rooms were very dirty and small, no place even for the luggage. No parking spots and the neighbourhood is dangerous and nasty.

The cherry on top was the rashes we got, which we believe were from fleas or the overall dirtiness.
