Svalinn Hotel

I stayed here for a business trip to Izmir. The room was excellent, very comfortable beds and pillows. There were tea and coffee facilities and complimentary water daily. I had an issue one night with the air conditioning, some of the other guests were cold so the hotel had switched over to winter mode but this made my room extremely hot. The lady at reception tried to sort the issue for a good hour and she was very helpful. In the end they changed my room to one of the same standard but a little better as well. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for comfort and class.

Extremely fast reaction when I needed to change my room. Manager on duty Sueda answered my request within minutes and this happened in the middle of the night.

Positive: Hotel rooms are spacious especially if u have family, rooms are so clean and bathrooms are big, well equipped and clean
Plenty of parking in the hotel
Price is reasonable and good value for money
Food and breakfast buffet is tasty and lots of varieties they also serve to table if u have special order (scrambled egg)
We tried also room service and it was good and price is so reasonable
Reception are friendly and some of them speaks English
Negative: the spa, pool, gym, sauna and hamam are working only from 12 noon which is quite weird and the even worse not on Sundays what kind of hotel close the pool and gym on Sundays? I found this a shortfall

We unexpectedly stayed here recently due to travel disruption. Airline arranged stay. It's a very nice business class hotel. Food and service excellent. Comfortable large room. Good location near airport and a major shopping mall and public transport in walking distance which goes into central Izmir. We were made very welcome in difficult circumstances.

Luxury hotel from the minute you walk through the door. Lounge area has large seating areas with leather Chesterfields. Bar service is available here, it's not expensive at all. Reception staff could di with speaking better English and also have the power to tell some rooms to be quiet during sleeping hours. Mainly used by businessmen & people having their teeth done. Large restaurant on fourth floor where you can eat outside.

If you're coming to Izmir whether for personal or business travel, make this hotel property one of the first ones you research. I stay here on monthly rotations for work and I will say I really feel like it is my home away from home. The staff is smiling and friendly as soon as the glass doors slide open. The lobby design cues gives elegance yet the atmosphere is down to earth. Now because I stay here on a repeated basis for extended periods of time, some things I nitpick because of repetition over time like the food choice. However, the majority of guests are staying for way shorter so don't be bothered by that. The rooms are huge with comfortable queen/king sized beds, a couch, double closets, and stocked mini fridges and plenty of toiletry amenities. If you're new to travel in Europe and Asia, I would recommend asking for an extra keycard (an energy card) at check-in because you need it to activate power in the rooms. If you leave and you have devices charging or you're running the AC or heat, all power-run processes cease about 30 secs or so after you take your keycard out of the slot. The restaurant offers plenty of options in food and appetizers. Usually, they serve soup and/or salad automatically with dinner... like, EVERYDAY! Breakfast is buffet style, and if you like eggs I'd recommend asking for your eggs to be cooked how you like (use google translate with precise language to effectively make your request). Again, all the staff are extremely professional and accommodating, no attitudes or fuss. If you've got time, try getting a massage all the way downstairs in the spa. There's also a small sitting pool to soak in. Enjoy your stay and thank you Svalinn staff! Till next time
