Reviews
I ll never come here.
Also, for the drinks they use plastic glasses which undersubestimate cleaning them. I have a beautiful thing on the lips because of this.
The food is good and lots of diversity which can chose everything you want, nothing to say. The personnel all the time are cleaning the tables.
On the beach restaurant provides from lunch time a diversity of food and drinks.
All the time the personnel are waiting for tips even if they give you a glass of wine. Nothing to see as a peisage and At less one kilometer there is a big garbage hole.
The animation team was best of this holiday, they were everywhere.
Anyone who gives this place 5 stars hasn't been to a properly run 5 star hotel before.
Some staff are friendly, some are just downright rude. A large portion of staff do not speak english. A few of the bar staff at the pool bar and the lobby bar are particularly rude. The animation team are super friendly, and do put a lot of effort into the fun and games throughout the day and the evening shows.
The hotel does have a policy, written on a board beside the pool, that you cannot reserve loungers before 8 am, however this is not enforced in any way. You have to be up and at the pool by 6 to get a decent place to sit, arrive any later and you'll have to sit on loungers in a grassy bit by the water slides or will find most of the good places to sit by the pools already reserved. We went to lunch one day, leaving all our stuff on the loungers we were using, and returned to find that some other hotel guests had simply moved our stuff off 2 of our loungers and helped themselves to them.
There is also no system in place for seating people for meals. You'll show up to the buffet restaurant and there is no staff member who greets you and finds you a table big enough for your group and nobody will come and ask what drinks you want. You have to find your own table, which usually hasn't been cleared, and then you have to find a waiter to clear the table and get you your drinks. This is not how food service is run in a 5 star hotel. Every 5 star hotel I have previously been to has a properly run food service. This place has no system in place whatsoever.
The food is mega repetitive, even on the "asian" themed night we found that it was mostly the same stuff again but with a noodle dish , some sushi, and fried banana added to the selection. The selection for lunch is pretty much the same stuff every day too.
If you are Vegan there is literally nothing you can eat except salad, and for vegetarians the selection is really poor. You'll be eating spinach stuffed pitta bread, pizza or pasta with roast potatoes or chips for every meal.
The food standard is not 5 star either.
They clearly need more staff, and a proper system in place, to run the food service better.
Also, the American Bar has been closed for the duration of our stay, the indoor pool is closed, the cinema is closed, the disco is closed. All the shows are run on the stage outside by the main pool and you'll wait forever to get a drink in the evenings if you do go to the shows.
Neither of the Al a Carte restaurants are open, and are a paid for option anyway, unlike most 5 star all inclusive resorts where you get one night during your stay where you can pre-book to have a meal in an Al a Carte instead of the buffet.
There are sales guys from the spa that come round and we managed to strike a deal for their 2 hour package which is supposed to include a Turkish bath with body scrub, foam massage, face mask and 1 hour full body massage.
We were a group of 5 adults and 3 kids. The kids got a Turkish bath, foam massage and face mask.
The Turkish bath and foam massage was first and was really good. We were then taken to a seating area and waited a while for them to come and paint the face mask on and were them left for ages before some came and told us to go and wash the face mask off. After that we were taken to have our massage. Again, this was not of 5 star quality. 2 of us were having our massage done in the same room and the staff were speaking to each other and giggling away the whole time they were doing our massage, and it did not last an hour, maybe 20 minutes or so.
We did use the shuttle to go to the beach one day, which was really nice. The sea water was nice and warm, there was a nice breeze, the food seemed to be better and there far less of a wait to get drinks from the bar.
We still managed to enjoy our stay at the hotel but would not recommend this hotel to others, and would not come again.
Love Tete xxx
Beds are very comfy and it's very clean.
