The Tower Plaza Hotel Dubai

The Tower Plaza Hotel Dubai is by far the most unprofessional and customer-unfriendly hotel I have ever encountered. I booked a room but couldn’t reach due to unavoidable circumstances. When I contacted them regarding a refund, they blatantly refused, despite their policy clearly stating refunds were possible.

This isn’t just bad service – it’s outright deception! The staff is completely unhelpful, and they clearly have no regard for their guests' needs. If this is how they treat customers before they even step foot in the hotel, imagine the nightmare waiting for you if you actually stayed there.

The lack of professionalism, transparency, and basic courtesy is shocking. There are far better hotels in Dubai that value their guests and provide superior service. Don’t waste your money or risk your peace of mind at this place.

Trust me, you’ll regret it if you book here. Spend your hard-earned money somewhere that deserves it.

Frustrating Experience at this hotel

I just checked in at and had a very disappointing event . I specifically requested a non-smoking room, but upon arrival, I was given a smoking room instead. When I brought this to the staff's attention, they were unhelpful and simply stated that the hotel was fully booked and could not accommodate my request.

To make matters worse, they refused to offer a refund for my stay, leaving me feeling trapped in a situation that was not what I had paid for. The smoke irritated me and I start to have my allergy symptoms.

I expected better customer service and consideration for my preferences. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend the tower plaza hotel based on my experience. If you are sensitive to smoke or have specific room requirements, I suggest looking elsewhere.

Worst Hotel Experience – Avoid at All Costs!
I travel frequently and have stayed at countless hotels, but this was by far my worst experience. From the moment I checked in, it was clear this hotel has serious issues. The room was filthy, with stains on the sheets and a foul odor. The bathroom was even worse – poorly cleaned and with broken fixtures.
The staff were unprofessional and unhelpful, ignoring requests and even being rude at times. To top it off, the amenities advertised were either unavailable or in terrible condition.
I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. It completely ruined what should have been a pleasant stay. Save your money and choose a place that values cleanliness and customer service!

Mediocre hotel - surprised at the very high rating reviews.
Firstly, the hotel staff are all welcoming, I will not fault them however, there are fundamental flaws with the hotel. The lifts are a huge problem - there are only 4 small lifts between 60 something floors, when the lift is full it completely bypasses your floor, so unless you’re on the utmost lower levels or top floors , it will take a long time for the lifts to come. One day, we waited 20 minutes for the lift to come during breakfast hours, this is unheard of.
Breakfast - there is a wide selection of foods available, a true intercontinental breakfast but I would say the quality of the food is mediocre. Also there is nowhere near enough seating for breakfast when you do eventually get there. There are no organised lines for separate sections as the popular dishes are all bunched together (eggs / crepes / omelettes) which makes it really difficult to queue and, in turn, inviting people to cut the queue.
Rooms - As someone else has mentioned, the water for the shower is not hot unless you let it run for a 10 minutes beforehand which is not environmentally friendly. The rooms are outdated for a supposedly 5 star hotel.
Positive points - valet service, the staff here are lovely. There is a gym with a good selection of equipment. The spa is good, we had a couples massage and the service was very good at a reasonable price. The views from the hotel room (31st floor) were great, can see the museum of the future on one side & the Burj on the other. Room size was really good, and we had a complimentary upgrade which was generous of the reception staff. The location is convenient, only 15 minutes from Dubai Mall & roughly 20-30 minutes to other popular areas.
If it wasn’t for the amenities included I would’ve rated this hotel a 1 star. Perhaps I came at a busy time for the hotel?

Staff are rude, told us to hurry up and finish up eating our food. Asked for a water bottle to take to our room and they refused! Food at the restaurant metro was horrible, we stayed with half board and I would not recommend, it is very limited so we had to order food online to be delivered to us. It is not cleaned at all, we arrived at our room it smelt really bad and was not ready for the 4 guests I had booked for, only for 2. No towels when we arrived either. Had to wait 30 minutes for an elevator, way too long. I do not recommend this hotel, it says it’s 5 stars however I don’t think it even deserves 2 stars.

Not recommended!I was horribly terrified by the no-warmed showing of a repair crew standing oust-side my room window looking face to face.After 5 minutes I took this photo to prove the fact.I won’t blame this guy but the hotel should inform me as well as possible.It’s too awkward for any guests.
But sadly they just let me know the TV is unworkable upon check in.
Besides,there is no changing room in the swimming pool floor,only found a small one site toilet.
The strictly asked 2pm checkin time seems not to be a big problem compared to the problems above.
