I stayed at Premier Luxury Mountain Resort in Bansko with high expectations, given its name and rating. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, but I can’t say it lived up to the “luxury” label.
The staff were friendly and professional, and the location is great — close to the mountain and the town center. The room was comfortable and clean, but the interior and amenities felt a bit dated and not quite at the 5-star standard I was hoping for.
The spa and wellness area was decent, but nothing exceptional. The same goes for the breakfast — good variety, but average in terms of quality. It felt more like a solid 4-star hotel rather than a true luxury resort.
It’s a nice place for a short stay if you’re visiting Bansko, but don’t expect anything too special or high-end. For the price, I expected a bit more attention to detail and a more refined atmosphere.
Overall, a good experience, but I wouldn’t call it a standout destination.

We stayed at this hotel for a week's skiing. The hotel looks amazing in the reception and spa. But that's as good as it gets. Unfortunately, the rooms were terrible, the bed was rock hard, pillows were a joke, the worst bed we have slept on for a long time, which is not great for skiing the next day. The curtains kept falling off the rails, the lift broke down whilst we were there, and we had to climb 6 flights of stairs for several days. Food was just average, not 5star. There are also no allergy descriptions. The ski bus provided was in a shocking condition and only ran for very limited hours. We have stayed in 5 star hotels around the world before (Australia, France, Thailand etc), and this in our eyes is only a 3 star. Very disappointed, and we will not be back again

The hotel is lovely, our bedroom a bit tired and dated, but large. Our 13 year old daughters bed was more like a camp bed with an uncomfortable mattress, our bed was fine. The room was very warm but we were able to turn the temperature down. The shower was excellent and hot. Nice to have the little extras, bath salts, dressing gowns and slippers. We arrived late at night, missing the dining service but was surprised to find fresh fruit, drinks and snacks in our fridge and a meat and cheese salad plate each, really appreciated. We made use of the spa facilities daily, the pool is small but sufficient. We enjoyed the sauna, steam rooms and hot tub after a long day of skiing. We also enjoyed a wonderful massage. Breakfast was really good, the fresh omelettes were excellent. On a couple of occasions some foods were cold. Evening meal was good, served from 7pm. We always found something to suit everyone but did feel the food was a bit repetitive. It would be nice if you could get water on the tables with the evening meal. On our first evening (6pm) we sat in the bar area playing Uno, drinks were brought to our table by the barstaff. The second evening we set up again at the same table and was told we were not allowed to play games, that was a shame for us as a family. Rules are rules but should be consistent. The hotel is a nice 10 minute walk into the town, 15 to the gondola. The free shuttle buses are available 8- 12 and then 3-5pm. It would have been useful for us for the shuttle bus to run slightly earlier in the afternoon. The staff were always friendly and helpful.

We stayed at this hotel for a week in March 2025 during our ski trip. The hotel is decent, but it’s quite dated compared to some of the newer hotels on the main street (Pirin Street). The spa is great, with a nice sauna, steam room, pool, and jacuzzi. The breakfast was average, offering a typical hot food selection and a good variety of fruits.
However, the service at this hotel was the most disappointing. The bellboy, a blonde man with long hair, seemed to be the only staff member who was happy to be there - he earned his tip. The reception staff, on the other hand, were extremely unwelcoming. Even answering a simple question was a hassle. The female receptionist, who was the worst of the bunch, only seemed to smile when she was leaving the hotel after her shift.
One of the most frustrating issues we encountered was the overheated rooms. I don’t understand how this hotel can be rated as a 5-star hotel, especially when you compare it to Kempinski and Sheraton. It’s a fair walk away from the gondola and all the restaurants on Pirin street, consider this if you need to walk with your ski equipment.
If you’re setting your expectations low, you won’t be disappointed with this hotel.
However, the service at this hotel was the most disappointing. The bellboy, a blonde man with long hair, seemed to be the only staff member who was happy to be there - he earned his tip. The reception staff, on the other hand, were extremely unwelcoming. Even answering a simple question was a hassle. The female receptionist, who was the worst of the bunch, only seemed to smile when she was leaving the hotel after her shift.

I’m sorry to have stolen the title of someone else’s review, but I couldn’t agree more with the person that wrote that this hotel was more like a Premier Inn than a Premier luxury hotel. This is most certainly not a five star establishment, more like a three star. We stayed for a week towards the end of February and whilst it was half term in parts of England, the hotel was certainly not overrun with children . The main issue for us, was that the food in the buffet restaurant was tepid to lukewarm every single evening. We arrived when the restaurant opened at 7 pm hoping for hot food and still couldn’t find any except the soup. The array of starters and salads was magnificent and delicious, but I didn’t want to eat cold food every night. For us that was very disappointing. There was a great selection of food, but everything is stored under a light and not in a Bain Marie. There is no water available unless you buy bottles of it . The desserts, however, were delicious and plentiful with lots of fresh fruit to choose from as well. I could certainly not complain about the breakfast. There was a magnificent choice including the omelette station which was done to order. It was the only hot food that we had there. There is a coffee machine, but again the coffee was not as hot as it should be. Our room left a lot to be desired. We had a junior suite with a wardrobe in the kitchen area, four coat hangers between two people, and a cutlery drawer that contained only a bottle opener and 4 teaspoons. We arrived late on the Saturday evening from the airport and the buffet restaurant was closed. A plate had been made up for both of us which included bread, butter, cheese spread, and some ham. Too bad if you’re a vegetarian. We had to use the teaspoon in the room to spread the hard butter on the bread! The fruit plate was very nice. The bar area was very pleasant . it was extremely quiet considering it was a large hotel. I didn’t care for all the big TV screens showing sport, but that was just my preference. The swimming pool, steam room, sauna and Jacuzzi was excellent. I had it to myself most days during the day. It was really clean and there was a lifeguard on duty most of the time. The outdoor pool which we didn’t use opens at 5 pm. it was a 10 to 15 minute walk into Bansko to the gondola or a courtesy bus every 15 minutes which stopped at 5pm. There is a break in the day when the courtesy bus doesn’t run. There are multiple bars and restaurants near the gondolas which were great. It was a 2 1/2 hour transfer from the airport to the hotel. Apart from the reception area and the bar, the hotel is quite tired and really does need an upgrade. There is a cash machine in the lobby area and also an à la carte restaurant which opens most most of the day. Again it was very quiet. Bed and breakfast guests can upgrade to half board, but I really wouldn’t waste your money. Wrap up warm and venture out into Bansko for the evening where you will find multip

The most wonderfull holiday we have had in Bansko till now. The kids were pretty happy with they play room, or at least we were. The wife was extremly satisfied with the spa , a trully 5 star services. The rooms need to be upgraded a bit to achieve the level of the lobby and the spa. Over all a nice family holiday we enjoyed this year in Bansko.

Good deal for half term ski. Location a little out of town- but walkable for evenings (head into old town for more local cuisine & to escape the tourist *****). The free hotel bus service was excellent and most welcomed for transfer to slopes with our ski gear. We paid extra for VIP lift passes & didnt regret it! Bit of a schlep up gondola in the am , but really no bother and just about enough piste to keep the intermediate snow lovers happy for the week. Public areas of the hotel were clean and of a good quality decor. Rooms rather dated but our suites were large and ideal for families. Spa facilities surpassed our expectations, the outdoor pool was a particularly welcoming retreat after a day on the piste. Friendly bar staff- although we were not allowed to meet as a wider family group to play cards in this area and were signposted to the kids area -teens were not happy! Breakfast plentiful, but would recommend eating dinner or in the restaurant rather than buffet which we felt was very expensive for the quality. Overall good stay UNITL we returned our ski hire (SKI dip at the hotel). One member of the previously helpful & friendly staff were not so friendly as one pair of kids boots were damaged. Long-story-short even though i was prepared to recompense for the damage, I was BULLIED into paying over the odds for what could have been wear & tear. I was not give the opportunity to use my insurance & although I upscaled & came to an agreement with SKIDIP head office-I continued to be harassed by one of the ski-hire team until i paid up. This is NO REFLECTION on the hotel, but I feel sufficiently aggrieved that i would like to share with others.

Really great hotel, but be careful booking if you have an allergy!
I hesitated giving 5* because of the allergy issues we identified, but overall, this is a great hotel with great staff.
The hotel has so many great features, amazing pools, spa, brilliant kids clubs, and lovely rooms. Overall, it is a really great place to stay!
However, we booked half-board, and the processes for allergies were not good enough! The hotel restaurant is a buffet and has signs next to the dishes. However, the allergy information on the signs was wrong. We were informed that this was because the chefs cook fresh / unique fishes every night, and so the allergy information changes every day. However, as I informed them (waitresses, chef, manager), it would be better that they did not put any allergy information out, rather than display incorrect information. Nothing changed, though, and this was the same night after night - and it made me fear for anybody who trusted the signs and ate any food without speaking directly to the chefs.
The chefs were very good though, and when asked, the chefs would come out from the kitchen and discuss the dishes one by one!
Also, unfortunately, one of the staff (not a chef) put gluten free bread in the bowl of normal bread - which shows a huge and fundamental lack of understanding and a lack of training on cross contamination of allergies! We assume that this lack of knowledge did not spread to the kitchen, and my wife, who has ceoliac, was perfectly well (having eaten in the hotel every morning and every evening). However, the front of restaurant staff also need to be trained on allergies.
Bur overall, all the staff we encountered at the hotel were brilliant, and to reemphasise, I think this is a great hotel (with great food, for people without allergies).
We would definitely go back, but if we did, we would hope that they significantly improve their allergy processes!

Excellent hotel, all staff very friendly and helpful. Also very clean and as you would expect for 5 stars. Vic in the ski shop also very helpful providing excellent customer service. Highly recommend the hotel and resort. Slightest downside, can be slippy around outside heated pool, but once in the pool it very nice and turns a little magical when snowing.

Excellent hotel made even better by all the staff, proffessional , friendly, helpful along with a smile. Good value for our stay, booked through Balkan holidays.We idn't use all the facilities but breakast was delicious all the tastes catered for. Hotel was warm a nd plenty of hot water for showers etc. Our room had a balcony and had plenty of room for the two of us. A little to far to walk because there was alot of snow but a brisk 15 walk is all it would be. the shuttle was great 8am to 3pm. Taxis 15Levi. Would stay again. wE also paid extra to check out later so we could ski up to our transfer, very helpful with this. Enjoy life, Karl and Lizzie from Guernsey
