I had a great stay overall – the staff were friendly, the facilities were clean, and everything was well organized. However, the only downside was the bed. Unfortunately, it wasn’t comfortable at all, which affected my sleep. If the beds were improved, this would’ve been a perfect experience. Still, I appreciate the hospitality and everything else was really good

We arrived in Munich at 10AM, after being on a bus for 6 hours. I felt dirty and was very grumpy because of it. My husband decided we should find a place to drop our luggage and get a shower even though we were only there for the day. This place happened to be across the street, so we decided to check it out. They had a great price, and were able to check us in immediately rather than making us wait...

I told my husband upon arriving that it looks clean but doesn't feel clean and he laughed because it was so true. Everything is so retro and old feeling. Looks like something straight our of the 70's. The mini bar selection was horrible and there was no AC. Elevators are TINY and sketchy. The only reason I am giving a 3 instead of 2 star review is because they did have an awesome breakfast selection...

Old building but big rooms, excellent service and great breakfast. The person who checked us in was super nice and let us change rooms when ours smelled of cigarettes. The elevator is tiny because it's an old building but the rooms are big! A block away from train station, very useful. Breakfast had hot and cold options, very complete and delicious.

Simple and comfortable hotel with very polite and helpful staff across from DB munich Hauptbahnhof. Very close to city center, 15minutes walk. Rooms are comfortable and roomy and there are no safe inside rooms. Street noise can be a bit irritating. Car park is 18€ per night. Internet speed is fair.

We enjoyed our stay here in December 2023. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The bathroom was also spacious and very clean. Location is good, very close to the main train station (Hauptbahnhof). Our room was on the first floor directly above the hotel entrance, and we got quite a lot of street noise. We absolutely loved our stay at the Alpen Hotel! From check-in to check-out, everything was perfect. The rooms are a great size, breakfast was delicious, and the interior of the hotel is fresh and modern. It was the perfect stay! We hope we can return in the future.

Great hotel, beautiful old building, and even the 1p room was small but very nice. However, the location is a bit dodgy (many shisha lounges and such). I didnt feel comfortable in the evening as a woman alone. Thats the only reason i would book a different hotel next time.

We enjoyed a superb stay at the Alpen Hotel München recently. Our room was spotless, spacious and very comfortable. The rest of the hotel facilities were amazing and the breakfast this morning extremely delicious. The hotel staff were friendly, polite and very helpful. Get to this hotel if you want to be in a quiet nice residential suburb. Service is good and the restaurant is reputed to be excellent. Very luxurious feel overall but especially the breakfast. (Vast majority of hotels in Munich that you will find on the usual sites will be near the train station which is not a bad area now, but used to be run down.)

Charming hotel in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to the English Garden and public transportation. The family room was very nice with the wardrobe providing some privacy from the kids bed. Rooms are a bit dated but for us that added to the charm. The breakfast was wonderful and the staff was very friendly and helpful!

Stopped here for a nice business lunch. They have a lovely beer garden with massive trees. Daily selection of lunch menus as well as choosing from a la carte. I had the Backhendl which was very nice. Might be also a nice spot for dinner and sleeping.

Nice hotel but quite a distance to Munich Centre. The S8 S-Bahn is right behind the hotel and it can be quite noise when a freight train goes past. Good value but the location is an issue.

Nice hotel, I went with my family for 2 nights, the rooms were really clean. The location is not very far from the city which is good. Staff was friendly. Only downside was that they didn’t have any medicine or anything to provide for an emergency or a simple headache in the middle of the night. Nice quiet clean room, but non-smokers should not take the rooms over the lobby entrance because smokers tend to smoke directly out front on either side of the Entrance). Otherwise, it's not far from the autobahn and still close a short drive to the city center attractions and eateries.

Best 4 stars hotel in Munich pedestrian area

The room is cozy, the bedding is clean and hygienic, the Minibar is well equipped, there is an independent capsule coffee machine, there are several flavors of coffee, and the drinking water and juice drinks in the refrigerator are also good. Hotel is located on a very busy centre street in Munich. Rooms are small and no real air flow. Opening the window subjects you to a never ending street noise. A king size bed is 2 single beds pushed together. Buffet breakfast is pretty good. This hotel is still about a 20 minute drive into the Munich City Centre. Elevators are small. So the stairs are a much better option. Overall it is a fair hotel
