I cannot possibly imagine how this hotel has a rating of 4 in reviews. It is a horrific place. It is colder than a cave, no heater of any kind, tv did not work either. I went downstairs to ask for a portable heater and maybe a kettle to make tea. I was very sick with a fever and the cold was very painful. I was told “you can have extra blanket, hot water from tap” totally useless and heartless. I was supposed to stay here two nights as part of a tour. The next night I stayed at another hotel nearby that was a proper place. Don’t waste your money. This place is a dump! I will also notify the your company that this place is way below the standard…and I have traveled with them twice before.

we stay here on the last weekend of oktoberfest where all the hotels in Munich are so expensive (~€270 per night, no breakfast, standard double).
The hotel lift is those kind where u need to open its door 😅 - what an experience though 😆
Room is ok, very basic, but can see that the furniture are already old and wornout.
When u go out, you need to leave the bulky key with the reception.
We requested 230pm late checkout (11am is normal checkout time), but hotel staff rejected and wanted us to pay extra if we want late checkout. We stayed 3 nights at high room rates and yet they are unwilling to grant such small request.
The luggage storage was just at the shelfs at the staircase - not much security.
Hotel did not make me feel welcome. A pity.. as the location is actually quite ok since it is near Karlsplatz station

The room is too hot and we have to open the windows at night, too much noise from the constructions next door and street traffics. We couldn’t sleep well at all. The hotel really need renovations to qualify for as a 3 stars hotel.

Old hotel, neglected run by people who don’t care. It’s 13c, rainy and humid and it’s going to be 6 overnight but there are no heating system. It’s cold and smelly and worn out. Stay away and don’t be foul by the location. It’s shady with cheap business and strip club just across the street. Come for the day to old Munich and leave after. You don’t have to sleep in the bar, you can’t just visit it when you want.

I have never encountered such blatant arrogance and a complete lack of humanity in any hotel. We notified them of our need to postpone our stay two weeks before check-in due to a serious medical emergency, yet neither we nor Booking.com could persuade their so-called 'management' to show any compassion. Rather than offering any understanding, they responded with hostility and insisted on charging our card for the entire reservation. It’s beyond infuriating — these people clearly have no conscience or decency, and absolutely no regard for human life or common courtesy. Avoid at all costs.

This is an old-style hotel, which has its charm. It is located a couple of blocks from the train station in a somewhat seedy area, but only 10 minutes-walk to the central attractions. Service is helpful and the little orange sweets on the front desk add a nice touch. Rooms are small, noise travels, and a housekeeper unlocked my door and barged in when I was brushing my teeth.

Cheap, clean, friendly, convenient. Neighborhood was a little sketchy and loud, but that's what you have to deal with if you're going to stay in this part of town. Overall very good value.
