This is an old-style hotel, which has its charm. It is located a couple of blocks from the train station in a somewhat seedy area, but only 10 minutes-walk to the central attractions. Service is helpful and the little orange sweets on the front desk add a nice touch. Rooms are small, noise travels, and a housekeeper unlocked my door and barged in when I was brushing my teeth.

Wow this guy was rude and acted like i was trying to scam him when i had already paid for my reservation. Over 200 dollars for a small room . There was literally a sign in the room that said see reception desk and pay 50 cents for a coffee pod. What a joke. I dont appreciate being nickel and dimed at such an expensive place. I got 5 star hotels in Bruges for less than this. Worst hotel i got traveling Europe.

The night manager did not let my sister stay at the hotel, even trying to pay for an extra person or paying for another room, making security excuses, that he was alone and could not check in another room thst hour. I think it's just a racist and classist person! Quite unpleasant person!

Not recommended.
While we were leaving the hotel, the receptionist treated us very bad and arrogant.
She didn’t inform us about the garage system, nor supported us. But she was good(!) at putting us in a rush and giving us “orders” unlikely.

Really loved the staff here, and appreciated the friendliness and helpfulness of the front desk and breakfast crew. Location can't be beat, with easy access to the train station and Marienplatz. I know previous reviews complained about the noise, but I was actually impressed with how well the windows blocked out the busy streets - we had no problem at all sleeping. Would definitely recommend based on the staff, location, and price!

This hotel is a jewel of a hotel conveniently located within walking distance of Munich’s Main Station and the Stacchus. Room rates are affordable and the amenities many. The personnel is multilingual, very friendly and helpful. The rooms are well appointed and comfortable with up to date technology. The appetizing breakfast is suitable for all dietary requirements, and will see you through until dinner time! Several members of our California family have thoroughly appreciated our stay at Hotel Wallis, and do not hesitate to recommend it to any and all who visit Munich.

The hotel is very cozy and has free Wi-Fi in all rooms, with good signal reception, a 24-hour reception and buffet breakfast.
The rooms are cosy and very clean, the staff is friendly and helpful.

I went with my partner in this hotel in December 2014.. experience bad by the nn repeat!!! Arrived in the evening, the room that we had booked "double" nn was available.. for more' what we were given was small,the comforter dirty.. no closet.. with several things broken and a bath shower. The local also is in an area with really nasty,dingy and dirty. The photos are definitely misleading, and on the whole the hotel is good.. poorly lit and the stairs accessing the floors.. musty smell.. the lobby is non-existent.The underground garage is small and with an access to machines like the station very difficult.In Munich we have already been to several times, but ever there happened a similar experience.But I don't recommend this hotel.

Horrible! There's no air conditioning anywhere in the hotel. It was miserably hot so forced you to open the windows, but it's on a busy, noisy street where the smoke from the prostitutes' cigarettes wafts into your room. Breakfast isn't very good, either.

Hotel viejo pero con habitaciones reformadas. Muy limpio. Se encuentra en frente de un bar de shisha, se oía ruido de los clientes del mismo. El ventilador del baño y el aire acondicionado hacían bastante ruido.
