All is well but not wow

The location of this hotel is perfect, right on the Nile. The balcony view is spectacular. Unlike other high-end hotels in Cairo, this one lacks the feeling of being in a "secure compound", while still being extremely secure. Perhaps because it is surrounded by Embassies, it feel as secure or more secure than the "fenced" hotels. Security even kept track of every Uber or other vehicle we left or arrived in. Fascinating neighborhood, if a bit isolated. Only a 15 minute walk to Tahrir Square - of course with the usual gauntlet of Egyptian street crossings.
Staff were delightful, giving personal service. By mistake, my first check-in was booked through hotels dot com, forgetting that Kempinski is in GH of which I'm a platinum member. It made no difference. They treated me the same as the following Platinum stay - staff learned our names, and offered consistent great service.
Breakfast was outstanding - though like all Cairo hotels ridiculously expensive (we only took it for a few days - our schedule prevented us from enjoying long breakfasts). We'd like to particularly thank M. Hassan and Mr. Mahmoud (butlers and lounge hosts) and Miss Abeer for making sure we had everything we needed during our stay.

I’ve been to Cairo five times, and every single visit brings me back to the Kempinski Nile Hotel. It’s simply unmatched. The service is exceptional, warm, and attentive in a way that always feels genuine. The property is beautiful, secure, and incredibly comfortable - easily the most relaxing place to stay in the city. I always leave feeling cared for, rested, and looking forward to returning.

I had dinner at osmanly restaurant. They had 2 options of a set menu. Lamb or chicken.
The starters were ok, then the lentil soup was kind of acceptable but definitely could be better.
The main course was bad. I didn't like the slow cooked lamb or the sorr of risotto that was served under it. It didn't taste good at all.
The desert was ice cream with a sort of Turkish pudding.
The ice-cream was too sweet and the pudding didn't appeal to me at all even to taste it.
The music was nice but a bit too loud to keep a conversation.
The service left a bit to be desired and could do with some training to the writers.
The hotel location is on the Nile but the lobby didn't impress me at all.
The entrance is quite poor for a 5tars hotel.

We have loved our stay here. The room is spacious and we had a deluxe double facing the Nile

The hotel has a great pool bar and jazz bar as well as a spa which we used. Ahmed was lovely as were the bar service jn tv pool bar! The breakfast is vast offering many options and the staff are very kind and attentive.

The first day we wanted a boat ride and a staff member from the hotel walked us to the boat and made sure we were ok. That’s great service

However the absolute best part of this trip was our tour guide Heba. We did trips over 2 days. Pyramids the first day and the citadel the day after. She was absolutely incredible. So full of energy and knowledge and really gave us a lot of her time across the day taking loads of photos and just making the whole trip so special. She seemed to know everyone wherever we went and we felt so looked after. If you want the best tour guide ask for Hebe.

All in we would very much recommend the Kempinski and its wonderful tour guide Heba.

Such a lovely hotel and the stay has been really amazing! I went as a family holiday to Cairo with my brother and mother. Both of the rooms has been beautiful, I got a suite for my mother and myself, it's been lovely sleeping, the rooms are very clean and has luxury touch all over as well as other parts of the hotel. The service, the staff has been most attentive in helping and very polite and courteous.
I highly recommend to opt for the breakfast options, it is amazing and those fresh juices are heaven. They are very hygienic in the breakfast so far what I have experienced and I have a sensitive stomach so I am good judge in judging the food. Location is perfect, very secure and the view of the Nile river and the city looks really good. I cannot emphasis anymore about this hotel, it's a gem! The video is the view from their gym which you can also see from your rooms depending on where you stay.

My first stay here was fantastic! I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. the staff were incredibly welcoming, and also the food was excellent, and the views from my room were simply stunning, as waking up to the breathtaking sunrise over the Nile River from my hotel window was an unforgettable highlight of my stay. The colors were simply stunning. this will definitely be my go-to spot in the future.
I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to my friends.

Nice hotel, we stayed at the junior suits, city view which is a hugely different than the Nile view. Unfortunately, these were the only available rooms on booking.com. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Amenities were very good. Location was 800 meters from city center. However, walking up to city center is pedestrian friendly. The price I paid for the stay was in my opinion too high

We stayed a the Kempinski Nile Cairo for 5 days in December 2024. The hotel is a beautiful boutique hotel in Garden City. Excellent service and very attentive staff. The room was very nice with great view of the the majestic Nile river. We had the Nile Deluxe king room however it was a bit small for 2 adults and a 12 years old boy. The hotel arranged for an extra bed and asked for a $90 charge but then later removed the charge which was very good. The restaurants in the hotel serve excellent food. We ate most the time in the hotel restaurants. Also the breakfast was very good. We highly recommend this hotel for anyone staying in Cairo in a relatively quiet area of Cairo but still very close to the city centre and other tourist sites in Cairo.
