Cairo Pyramids Hotel in Cairo

In October 2025, we spent two nights at the Steigenberger Pyramids Cairo. The room was comfortable and looked out over the pyramids and the new Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM). The downside? It also looked out on the highway so was fairly noisy. But, hey we were jet lagged, so that did not pose too much of a problem. The breakfast buffet had just about anything one could desire, including cold hibiscus tea and Egyptian falafel. Egyptian falafel, unlike the Syrian falafel that we get in the States, is made with green lentils and in our opinion is much tastier and not as dry as Syrian falafel. As we were eating large lunches as part of our tour, we elected to eat appetizers at the bar one night. Wowser, were those appetizers huge! As our waitress said, welcome to Egypt! An added bonus was the musical duo of Soha and Ayman, who played and sang at the bar. Think, Patsy Cline, Willie Nelson, and other mellow music. The morning we checked out was an early one. As the buffet was not yet open the hotel provided us with nice boxed breakfasts, which we ate on the ride to the airport. We recommend this hotel, and would stay there again if the occasion arose.

Started off badly but ended on a very good and happy note. We were allocated two cottages in a area where a lot of renovation work was going on. There was a lot of noise and dust as well. We asked the front desk for a change of rooms and the same was done immediately and the new rooms we got were excellent. The room was spacious and clean and the bathroom was neat. Being close to the major attractions in Cairo, Cairo Pyramids Hotel was a natural choice for us. The pool was also neat and well maintained. The main attraction was the wonderful breakfast buffet and the huge dining area. Every item right from the cereals, dry fruits, fresh fruits, cheese, breads to the fruit juices were excellent and looked like they were chosen with a lot of care. Overall a wonderful experience and I would certainly love to stay at the Cario Pyramids Hotel, Giza during my future visits to Cairo.

The location is ideal, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. However, the bungalows are showing their age. The hotel has started renovating them, and they will be very nice. I'm sure the hotel will be much nicer once the renovation is finished. I can definitely recommend the hotel.

Hi, my sister and I really enjoyed stay the hotel. The staff is very nice, if you don't know, they will advise you. The food was delicious. The only problem was the trolleys driving around the room at 2 am. Otherwise, everything was perfect and we highly recommend the hotel even though it is being renovated.

I made a reservation and came here. It was a bungalow. Amazing.
Since it's not next to the pyramids of Cairo, you should check the entrance carefully.
It's fun because it feels like a resort in downtown Cairo.
