Ayre Gran Hotel Colón in Madrid

We booked a Junior Suite with a king-size bed and a sofa for three adults. The room was exceptionally spacious and comfortably accommodated us. The hotel was impeccably clean, and we received a warm and friendly welcome from the staff.

The location is excellent—situated away from the city noise yet conveniently close to Retiro Park. A metro station is just 250 meters away, and taxis are almost always available right in front of the hotel.

As a medical professional, I was particularly impressed by the presence of a defibrillator in the lobby, with all staff members trained in its use. This level of preparedness and attention to safety is truly remarkable.

We are currently staying at this hotel and we were warmly welcomed by Andres at the front desk when we arrived at the hotel which made us believe that we have chose the right place for our short stay. Andres has proven us right via his consistent support and help when we needed to ask any questions on locations or printing some important documents etc. ! Location is unique due to the accessibility via several options to different attractions around Madrid .

Away on citytrip! For us (couple), great location as it was in a more quiet area but around the corner of the metro. You are kn the city center in 10 min! Staff was very friendly at reception and breakfast. Room was great, top beds & rain shower, what do you want more? Would recommend staying here!

This is a very nice hotel! Room was spacious and clean. Very comfortable bed. The restaurant has nice good food options. I stayed here overnight solely to catch a flight the next morning. The location isn’t very walkable to some more main parts of Madrid and when I travel to Madrid for leisure, I usually stay in a different area. Overall, this is a very nice hotel. Staff is very friendly and professional.

Stayed here on a quick night layover from Portugal. Friendly front desk staff, and the room was well appointed. Convenient location to get around via Rideshare or Metro. King size bed was very comfortable, the shower had good water pressure and heat as well.

Armando has been a great host and recommended a fabulous fish meal, really nice dinner ! And a very friendly service on top of it!

The staff are absolutely amazing. I fell sick while staying at the hotel and they were so helpful and attentive. Everyone from the bar staff to reception staff to room cleaners were so unbelievable. They extended our stay without issue and even then gave us a late checkout. I will not hesitate to stay here again.

Convenient transportation, close to subway station. For 2 or more people heading to the airport, it's suggested to take Uber or Bolt, costing around 20 euros for a 20-minute ride.

Comfortable rooms, but hairdryer casing is deteriorating and needs updating. Front desk staff lack knowledge on how to use Milestone F&B USD$20 reward vouchers. Dinner only available at the bar, no formal dining, so opted not to use it. Breakfast includes an egg station, which is considered good in Europe. Reasonable price at around EUR100/20000 points, especially for a central location.

Bottled water is only provided for free on the first day, with no refill options available. The front desk mentioned they drink tap water themselves, and I found the taste of Madrid tap water acceptable.

The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are clean and beautiful, and the staff is friendly. The location in nice. My only criticism is that the designated smoking area is directly in front of the front door; it is impossible to go out or come in without walking through a pile of smoke.
