Great location! Absolutely love Madrid! The biggest downtown and walking area out of almost all Metropolitan European cities! The hotel reception area was very nice and the front desk staff were great. The rooms were pretty good but the bathroom was a little dirty just because the shower head was clogged with mineral buildup and some if the towel holders we're falling off the wall. The bed was my biggest gripe. I asked for a queen bed so I could sleep with my partner and they pushed two captain beds next to each other. The beds were on wheels so if I tried to get next to my partner the beds would roll away from each other and I would fall in the gap between them. I didn't like that =[. Pretty good other than that! You're paying for location! There wasn't a view but that was a good thing! If I had a view then I would have had a lot of noise so try to get a room where the window isn't facing the main streets!

Fantastic stay. Was a tad noisy at night (we were at the front of hotel). Tea facilities in the room would have been appreciated also. However, comfortable bed, lovely rooms, breakfast was fantastic. Great central location and handy for transport links. Would stay again

Biggest flaw : The WiFi was very weak in our room, and the noise leaks through from other rooms.
The room itself was amazing and clean and spacious !
The location of the hotel is central to everything and I would highly recommend the place.
Gran via is like broadway in NY. And all the places to eat and visit are walkable.

There is basically not hot water pressure, forget about a nice shower.
The hotel is rather noisy, you can hear sounds 3 rooms down.
Majority of the staff has been rude.
Almost no natural light in inner-facing rooms, inside it looks like evening during a sunny day.
The location is great though so it still gets 2 stars.

Rooms, service, and location were excellent. While the hotel is a little dated, it’s exceptionally well maintained and spotlessly clean. The only real downside was the noise. we were unfortunate to have a couple next door who held loud phone conversations into the early hours. I called reception and eventually had to knock on their door myself at 1:30 a.m. The walls are quite thin, which didn’t help.
That said, I’d still return. The breakfast was great, with plenty of variety and good quality overall. One recommendation: we paid extra for a city-view room, but the outlook was rather disappointing and I wouldn’t pay the supplement again.

The rooms are basic but perfectly adequate and clean. The TV only has spanish channels but that's OK. The hotel is extremely central to metro and walking distance from many sites and sights. Lovely staff.

I had a minor issue which was promptly resolved so I have amended my review.

Arrogant and rude reception staff. Booked double bed room, was given twin beds. Was told that I could change in the morning but when I asked in the morning they said we’re full and that I was the first person to ever have this problem. Was made to feel like I am stupid for even asking or having such a request.
I would suggest getting new staff that aren’t belligerent and outright disgraceful to your hotel brand. Would not recommend.

Hotel with excellent location, friendly staff, very good breakfast with private parking, we enjoyed our stay once again, we will return without a doubt
