Hotel Plaza de España, Affiliated by Meliá

I stay 4 night.
The hotel management is extremely irresponsible. The receptionist had a bad attitude, though it was still tolerable. However, what truly disappointed me was what happened after I checked out. I traveled to another city and realized the next day that I had left an important document in my hotel room. I contacted the front desk and the hotel manager, but the manager instructed me to send my request via email. I sent at least four inquiries, but there was never any response. In the end, I had no choice but to give up, which resulted in my important document being left behind at their hotel. This kind of irresponsible behavior is truly disappointing.

Great location in the heart of the city but that along with the minimum requirements for a basic lodge yet to say hotel is what you will probably get. Front desk manned by two hosts with only 1 functioning computer, at check in had to wait for 20 minutes so two couples could check in. Two elevators but only 1 that reaches all the floors, at least the staircase was wide enough to allow transit with other guests. In the elevator there was a sign to excuse them for the noise that comes from other buildings. The room felt outdated, old and screaming for an upgrade. Walls were scratched or scorched, furniture barely worked properly with hinges loose or not closing properly. The chair had its fabric broken and some of the plugs barely had any juice for charging. The bathroom was the finest or newest but it had humidity spots on the ceiling. Maybe it was bad luck getting that room or maybe they need to update the room or have a makeover, it just felt old or worn out. They don’t have luggage storage, they offer a chance to store it on another hotel nearby.
