Sercotel Alcalá 611

It is a school located outside the city center, near the airport. There is a bus to the airport nearby. The air conditioner is old and noisy.

Sarcoltel-Alcala-Madrid Hotel. I chose this hotel because of its proximity to the airport. The first impression was very good. I arrived in the morning and the receptionist was very friendly, even lent me an umbrella because I forgot mine. The problems came at night. I wasn't feeling well, and I decided to have dinner at the hotel. Then at 9:00 pm I called the extension indicated on their website... after trying 5 times, someone picked up and abruptly told me that room service was closed because there was a private dinner... with no other options. So at least I had fruit... but how it was when at 11:00 pm some kind of motor started that resonated throughout the room (501). I turned off the air conditioning in case it was that, but it didn't work either. I called the sarcotel switchboard phone, because there was no way to locate the hotel concierge. The worst part was that not even the Sacotel switchboard could locate the hotel staff. Shameful.   So, since I wasn't feeling well at all, I had to put in earplugs to be able to sleep... the noise stopped and appeared several times during the night. So I had a pretty bad night's sleep.   If this is normal, I don't recommend the experience at all.

Nice looking hotel. Clean rooms. Ok breakfast. The air in the room was not good and so hot that I had problems sleeping.

The room was a 1 night airport stopover. It was ok. I paid extra for an upgraded room and feel I did not get it. Cleanliness was below average and the liquid soap was toxic to my skin. I expect more from a Choice Hotel.
