Crowne Plaza - Nice - Grand Arenas, an IHG Hotel

I recently booked a stay at this hotel and unfortunately, my experience was far from pleasant. While the hotel’s facilities seemed fine at first glance, my stay was overshadowed by the rude and utterly unhelpful behavior of the staff.

Upon check-in, I was greeted with a disinterested look and a surly attitude from hotel manager and the receptionist. There was barely any effort made to make us feel welcome, and my questions about the available facilities were met with sighs and minimal responses. It felt as if every interaction with guests was seen as a burden.

During my stay, I tried multiple times to seek assistance from the staff, but each time I was met with the same indifferent behavior. There was absolutely no friendliness or willingness to help, which is not what I expect from a hotel that claims to value service.

When I checked out, not a single person asked how my stay had been, which clearly shows how little this hotel cares about their guests' experiences.

Overall, I am deeply disappointed.
The lack of kindness and professionalism from the staff completely ruined my stay. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

I had stayed at this hotel two years ago and was ok, so we decided to stay again for our second trip to Nice , but this time it was horrible. It was pretty hot and uncomfortable in the room, after adjusting thermostat to lower temp AC wouldn’t bring temp lower than 25C , so we thought unit was not good, so they moved us to a different room the second night only to find out that their central ac system does not cool enough all across the hotel ( maybe because they want to lower energy use when they charge $300 per night ).
They provided us with a fan that has broken buttons and would not operate properly. The breakfast buffet choices were pretty poor, and the chef didn’t understand a word of English and we had to communicate by sign language.

Asked for a cab to pick us up at 5 AM almost missed our flight after the hotel confirmed they would be doing so and lo and behold. I got up at five no cab. To add insult to injury the evening before I order dinner from the restaurant, and despite the menu, not noting that the food contained an allergen I was forced to order delivery and then was scolded by the hotel for having the nerve to eat it.
