Holiday Inn Athens Attica Av, Airport W., an IHG Hotel

Arrived in late evening of November 25, had a confirmation of my overnight stay, they could not find my reservation. They eventually found my reservation, asked for a 3am wake up call for an early flight out of Athens Airport, only for receptionist to ring my room at 3:26 am, to inform my Suttle bus was due to leave at 3:30 am. I kindly asked him to keep bus waiting for me, and asked him why he didn't ring at 3am as I requested, only to be told that night receptionist hadn't jotted down if it was a am wake up or afternoon wake up. I almost missed my flight. At 145 euros one night stay, absolutely unacceptable. NEVER AGAIN. Only positive note, young blonde lady at bar was most friendly.

For one night stop over maybe two nights it is an ideal spot. They don’t serve lunch or dinner and one has to go to the restaurants outside or to the hotel next-door to get food.
However, their breakfast is well above average.

Exceeded our expectations! A much better and more affordable option than the Sofitel. While it’s not within walking distance from the terminal, the hourly shuttle bus makes up for it. The staff were friendly and patient, and the rooms are spacious—perfect for families on a short layover. However, if your layover is during the day, don’t expect many activities to keep the kids entertained. The breakfast buffet was excellent, offering a wide variety of options.

What a great way to spend a mandatory layover at Athena Airport. The shuttle is great. People were friendly and the food at hotel was great. Better than I expected from a Holiday inn! Only drawback nothing else really within walking distance

Very nice hotel if you want something close and calm near the airport go here. Only downside is that it is kind of in the middle of nowhere so if you want to get food only thing to get is at the gas station. If you like quiet go here.

Great place to stop for an early flight. The shuttle goes to the airport ever hour. the front desk is very helpful and the rooms are super nice.

Much better than America's holiday inn hotels. Staff were kind and accomodated our request for a crib and another bed for 2 rooms for our kids. We stayed only one night so we could catch our early am flight to the US. The hotel served this purpose very well.

It was very convenient staying at this hotel which is 15 minutes from the airport. The hotel has a shuttle pick up from the airport. When exiting the arrival area at the airport, go right and head to door 5. There is a parking lot on the right where the hotel shuttle bus arrives on the hour.
The hotel was very nice with clean rooms and very comfortable beds. The room was quite spacious. The shower area is large and modern. The staff were friendly upon check in and kindly scheduled the shuttle bus for our return to the airport.
We had an amazing dinner at the restaurant on site at the hotel. Upon being seated, we were served a basket of warm delicious bread. Ordered the moussaka that was very tasty and flavorful. Also ordered the fish and chips with mushed peas and French fries, all very tasty. Lastly for dessert we had a warm brownie with vanilla ice cream that was also very good. Highly recommend this hotel as well as the restaurant.
