Reviews
We were so disappointed
What a terrible experience
The hotel room was so old and not only old fashioned, it was poorly maintained.
The room had a carpet and the smell was moldy and not nice.
The bathroom was very old materials and you could see the pipes
Also wasn’t properly cleaned
The mattresses were the worst part. Hard like rocks and wasn’t easy to have a good sleep.
The worst two things about it: from 8 am every day they start making loud noises with the vacuum and also there was some construction and they don’t care how early it is.
Last and worst: I was having a really bad back pain (it’s a medical condition) and my husband went to the reception to ask for some ice for my back. The older gentleman there (don’t know his name) immediately told my husband: no way! It is too late and the kitchen is already closed!
My husband tried to explain it was a medical emergency but he didn’t care and was extremely rude just kept saying: no way!
Most Hungarian people were so nice everywhere we were, but this man in the hotel reception, was truly a rude, unkind and unfriendly person.
The location is not bad and that’s the only positive thing about this hotel.
I give it one star because I cannot give less.
The staff were pleasant and helpful. There's a restaurant and bar, can't review the food, we didn't eat there but the the alcohol is cheap ,
Location, about 5 minutes walk from the city park, and hero square, about 30 minutes walk to the elizibeth bridge, at a decent pace, if you're not a walker don't worry as there's plenty of public transport links,
So, if cheap and cheerful will do , then the hotel benczúr, I am sure will please you 😁
The superior rooms that we stayed in we comfortable with nice air conditioning and a small balcony.
They had a quartet that played in the beer yard in the afternoons which brought a lovely atmosphere.
The location was not central, but easily accessible with the yellow line metro.
Overall, a pleasant stay next to a tree-lined, quiet road, with a nice continental breakfast.
The sausages were really nice.
The room was clean and spacious, but the furniture was a bit out dated.
We got a complimentary upgrade to our room, which was very much appreciated.
The only negative thing there was that the hotel hallways and entrance were always dirty and needed more attention. Other than that, everything was great.
We would definitely stay there again.
