The personnel was adorable! Very helpful and courteous. Big shout-out to Chris and Xiomara, who were the sweetest.
And the hotel is extremely well located. During my two days stays, I didn't have to take public transport at all to see all the main sites in the heart of the city!
Other than that, the breakfast buffet is decent and my room was clean and convenient.
I hope to stay there again someday, sending love ♥️

Great ambience with good style! Cosy, elegant breakfast room. Decent sized bedroom and very comfortable shower! Plus, the hotel is in a very good central location in proximity to Colosseum, etc. and the central station!

My sleep was disrupted throughout my trip. I couldn’t sleep a single night because I could hear the snoring and showering of the other rooms. The room itself was tiny and the bed was even smaller. The room safety box wasn’t even working.

We stayed here 2 weeks ago and enjoyed our stay. The staff was very friendly and Chris at the front desk made our stay quite lovely! The hotel was very clean and we also enjoyed the breakfast offered. We will definitely return if we come back to Rome!

Overall great experience. Room was nice, only issue we encountered was some water was leaking from bathroom given it was open bathroom. I think bathroom was more suited to disabled people? Otherwise it was great. Was nice and spacious, had cupboard to store things. Air-conditioned was great. Staff was nice and helpful. Great communication and very kind and friendly. Cleanliness was great. We did not have breakfast there so don't know. Elevator is very small so watch out for that. Location is 10/10. We spent 2 nights and we really loved it. I will be happy to book again. Highly recommended.

Hotel Giolli Nazionale in Rome offered an overall pleasant experience. The location is ideal, just about 1 km from Roma Termini Station, making it easy to get to and from the airport or other parts of the city. Additionally, it’s within walking distance to many of Rome’s major tourist attractions, including the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, and the Spanish Steps, which made sightseeing incredibly convenient.
The hotel itself is charming, with a welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff. Our room was comfortable, clean, and well-maintained, providing all the necessary amenities for a pleasant stay. The breakfast buffet was decent, offering a good variety of options to start the day. The common areas were also well-kept, with a cozy lobby to relax in after a day of exploring.
However, there was one issue that left us a bit frustrated. Upon check-in, we were asked to provide our credit card details to block a security deposit. This was not communicated beforehand, and it came as a surprise. While this practice is not uncommon in many hotels, it would have been helpful to know in advance, as it slightly disrupted the check-in process.
Despite this, our overall experience at Hotel Giolli Nazionale was positive. The great location, comfortable accommodations, and friendly service outweighed the inconvenience of the security deposit procedure. I would still recommend it for anyone looking for a well-located, reasonably priced hotel in the heart of Rome. Just be aware of the security deposit policy when checking in.

Great location. Close to everything
Cons:
There is a glass window that connects and separates the sink and shower. If not careful you can easily bump into it and break it as it’s not sturdy
Also the shower has no door so water just leaks everywhere and you can easily slip.
I don’t think they wash the sheets daily. Housekeeping comes in and makes the bed but doesn’t replace it for the remainder of the Stay.

The location was very good. You can easily reach everywhere. If we come again, we will easily stay here. Many thanks to Maria and Gıana who always helped us with their smiling faces at the entrance.

We stayed here just two nights and that was long enough. The receptionist is friendly, helpful, and speaks English.
The rooms, for us, were disappointing. The glass portion of the shower was hanging onto the wall for dear life, resulting in soaked clothing and towels. There are no blankets on the beds, just a sheet, even though it is not that warm in the room. The walls are thin and the hallway echos a lot at night.
The location is pretty good, we walked to all major places in 20 to 30 minutes (2.5 to 3 km).
There is a good restaurant for lunch and dinner right around the corner.

Horrible hotel — I recently had the unfortunate experience of staying at Hotel Giolli Nazionale in Rome (also listed as Vibe Nazionale on booking.com, which in hindsight, should have been a red flag). After a long 17+ hour travel day, we arrived at the hotel for an early check-in at 11 AM. What should have been a welcoming reprieve turned into a nightmare.
Shortly after our arrival, a guest on my reservation decided to take a shower. While washing her face, the glass shower door suddenly and without warning shattered. The glass exploded across the bathroom, leaving her with a cut on her foot and multiple bruises on her back. In her vulnerable state, completely exposed and in pain, she had to rely on hotel staff to assist her out of the shower.
Instead of addressing the situation with the care and professionalism one would expect, the hotel chose to charge us $1,060, insisting that "glass cannot simply explode." However, after consulting with multiple legal experts, we discovered that glass can indeed shatter spontaneously for a variety of reasons. Despite this, the hotel refused to provide any documentation from the glass manufacturer, any inspection reports, or any evidence to justify the cost they claimed.
Adding insult to injury, the hotel falsely accused us of being intoxicated upon arrival, despite the fact that we had just completed a long day of travel and checked in at 11 AM. This baseless accusation only compounded the distress of an already traumatic experience.
I strongly advise against booking a room at Hotel Giolli Nazionale. Their handling of this incident was not only unprofessional but also deeply unethical. The safety and well-being of guests should be a top priority, not an opportunity to levy exorbitant charges. You could easily find yourself in a similar situation if you stay here—be warned.
