Santa Maria Hotel Rome was a perfect oasis to base ourselves in Rome, being in Trastevere we were in food heaven with many local eateries at our doorstep! Our room had a traditional welcoming feel that make us feel at home. The internal courtyard was perfect for our son to run around, and also to have an afternoon cocktail and play some board games. 5pm cocktail hour with free food was a lovely surprise and a great way to start the evening. The service was extremely attentive and genuine - Eduardo went out of his way to accommodate all our needs during our stay. Thank you Hotel Santa Maria - we loved our stay, and we will definitely be back!

We were in Italy for three weeks, and of all the accommodations we had, the Santa Maria was hands down our favorite place. The staff was warm, welcoming, efficient, helpful, and fun. The Spritz was the best we had for our entire trip. The food was lovely, the quiet and relaxed atmosphere was pure heaven. To be honest, the Hotel Santa Maria was the best hotel experience I've had in at least 15 years. Bravo.

We loved our stay at Hotel Santa Maria in the Trastevere neighborhood of Roma & would definitely stay there again! The staff was incredibly kind & helpful in every manner. They made us feel like family and assisted in allowing us safety, privacy and comfort. Top notch customer service with clean and comfortable accommodations, tasty snacks, breakfasts, cocktails and wine!

A relaxing peaceful oasis in the heart of Rome - I will absolutely stay here again. The rooms are comfortable and the location is fantastic - walking distance to everything. My sister and I stayed in the “Junior Suite’ which was perfect for the 2 of us. They served a great breakfast and even offered a complimentary happy h with snacks. (And they make an awesome Aperol Spritz!).
But what most impressed me was the service. Everyone was so kind and welcoming…they really went out of their way for us. I absolutely loved this gem of a hotel. Thank you to all of the staff of Hotel Santa Maria!!!

This is an outstanding hotel. The location, staff, rooms, food and general layout are all top notch. Every staff member I encountered went above and beyond to assure we were enjoying our stay. The hotel is neatly hidden away in a tiny street and gated. It’s quite magical! The inner courtyard was a great place to hang out and meet fellow guests. Truly, this is an amazing place to stay.

This hotel is just PERFECT.
My husband and I spent 3 nights here celebrating a special wedding anniversary. We were made to feel so welcome, it was truly a home away from home.
Staff were all so friendly and helpful.
Breakfast in the courtyard was just lovely.
Location was ideal for not only Trastevere, but also the main sights of Rome were never far away on foot.
I wish every European city had their own version of this hotel, it really is something special.
I will be sending family/friends your way ad they book trips to this magnificent city!

Place to stay in Rome period! and perfect location to spend your night in Rome. Our triple room was spacious for the two of us, clean and comfortable. The best is not the beautiful garden the hotel has, but the excellent service they provide. Adriano was like our grandson, he went the extra mile to make us feel like at home, thank you very much for the early breakfast you left overnight in our room due to our early flight; he is an asset to Hotel Santa Maria. Also, we want to thank the whole breakfast team, they could not have been better: impossible.

This hotel is a gem, and we loved every minute of our stay. Valentina and Armando were helpful and attentive. Armando reached out on WhatsApp when he couldn't get me via email. He set up a driver to pick us up at the train station and then another driver to take us to the airport. The location is perfect for walking to all the major historical sights and shopping. The neighborhood setting is vibrant and lively, with many, many great restaurants and bars just a short stroll away from the front gate. As lively as the neighborhood is, the courtyard and upper terrace deck within the hotel walls are quiet and peaceful, lined with lemon and orange trees, flowers and herbs. This lovely hotel is truly special.

Rooms: The rooms are definitely in line with a top notch 3-star hotel...maybe even pushing 4-star status given local standards.
Service: Every one of the staff were absolutely wonderful...truly fabulous!
Location: Great location...the streets really come alive at night and feel safe and fun. Aside from a nearby store that has some rudeness to it, everything else was the usual leather shop, mini-mart or yummy food vendors, etc. About a 20-minute walk to major sites so it is pretty central to those locations.
Style: The style of this hotel really won me over. It is set in amongst local homes giving it a real feel of Roman life. It is a gated haven with orange trees all around. It offers a peaceful escape...one you won't want to leave.
Food/Wait Staff: The breakfasts were lovely every morning with an attentive and super friendly wait staff. Eating in the little orange grove at the quaint little tables was heavenly.

My husband and I recently stayed at Hotel Santa Maria and we were absolutely charmed. The place is beautiful and has a warm, inviting atmosphere that makes you feel welcomed!
The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly, always going the extra mile to ensure we had a great stay. They even took care of mailing a bag of our shopping home, so we didn't have to lug it around for the rest of our trip. We paid the shipping of course, but we didn't have to hassle with the process.
Breakfast was a treat, from delicious fresh fruit & fresh baked bread, and plenty of other options not to mention the best coffee I've ever had. Also be sure to try their famous Santa Maria Spritz, during happy hour, you'll be blown away. I highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Rome. It's a true gem!
