The Hoxton Hotel

The Hoxton offers a lot of comforts of “home” for US/UK travelers, but is not convenient for sightseeing. It was very very far from all attractions and transportation, and the reception did offer to call us a taxi but the security at the front of the building gave our cab away to the first person who came outside although we had a ticket for it. It feels better suited for a business traveler than for tourism. The rooms are beautiful but not spacious, however the bathrooms are very nice for a small historic city (particularly the showers) and the AC worked wonderfully. There is absolutely no storage for luggage which ruins the beauty of the rooms sadly. The food we had was fine, not great. The drink menu was varied in terms of price and options, which was great. For room service, the prices seemed not to match the menus provided which was concerning. I found it odd that there were no bellhops to assist with bags. Overall, this was a comfortable stay.

I stayed at The Hoxton, Rome for eight nights and had a wonderful experience. The staff were friendly, especially the bartenders Francesca and Lorenzo. They were super nice and of course made nice drinks. Stopping by the bar every night escalated the whole experience!

What a lovely hotel, beautiful room with art deco style. Super air conditioning, which was so welcome given the heat wave. I would highly recommend the hotel, only disappointment was the restaurant there

Our cruise line chose this hotel for us for a pre cruise visit to Rome. We were very happy with the hotel. Friendly desk clerks, clean and cozy room with a great shower and food available on site. Breakfast was excellent and we also enjoyed a couple drinks at the outdoor patio. It was not in the main tourist area but a nice neighborhood and we like to walk so it was fine for us. They will call for a taxi if you want one. There was a bank with an atm a couple doors down and a grocery store close by. We also found some excellent, cozy and reasonable restaurants within a few minutes walk. Would stay again when in Rome.

Our stay here was amazing! The room was perfect and had everything we needed. Recently updated and the decor was beautiful. It was also a cool touch to have music playing from the radio as we came in and after a room was cleaned each day.

The only note is that the check-in process was a bit slow, and while our room was ready when we arrived, it took about 30 minutes for the front desk to get it approved by the house cleaners. Which was completely fine with us as they let us have a drink on them in the bar area. I don’t actually think this ever got taken off our bill as the bar didn’t seem to understand our request that we were sent by the front desk but that’s OK! Still an incredible stay, and would recommend this to anyone staying in Rome. I would also stay in another Hoxton in any other cities, if given the chance.

The Hoxton was a great hotel with a hip and trendy vibe on the Saturday night we stayed.

Room was small, but functional and there is a couple of bars and restaurant on the main level.

The hotel was a little bit away from the tourist things but the hotel itself made up for that.

Would stay again for sure.

We stayed in the Hoxton for 5 nights in February. Our room was nicely decorated and in really good condition. The bed was made and the towels were changed daily. Having a steamer in the room was really handy. I wish there were robes and slippers as well - these were the only two things missing for us. I hope you add that in the future.

We loved the decor and the music in the hotel lobby. We sat there every evening for drinks which were served with a generous portion of tasty aperitivos. The staff working in the lobby area were friendly and attentive. (Perhaps a bit too attentive as you couldn’t really sit in the lobby without being prompted to order something from the menu.) We really liked the pasta dishes we had in the restaurant.

The hotel location worked really well for us as we didn’t want to be surrounded by tourists right in the city centre but wanted to be central enough so that we could go everywhere by foot.

We couldn’t fault our stay. It was perfect. We’d love to come back in the future

We had a really lovely lunch here during our Christmas holidays with my family and friends. Both the service and the food were impeccable, the atmosphere was also very relaxing. Simone served us really nice drinks and was very patient with us, recommending the best type is paring with the food we were having. The waiters, Mauro, Fabrizio and Francesca looked after our table for the whole duration of the meal, taking great care in making us feel welcomed and treated. These guys really made a difference with the experience we had.
Highly recommended, I will definitely come back again!
