We stayed here for one night at the start of our honeymoon. When we checked in, we asked about an upgrade and were told it would cost an additional 70 euros. This was surprising, especially since every other hotel we stayed at during our two-week trip offered complimentary upgrades and small honeymoon gestures, like a bottle of wine, chocolates, or even a note congratulating us. It would’ve been nice if they put a little more effort into those small but meaningful details.
The room itself was decent—comfortable bed and a nice shower. The location, however, was a bit farther from everything than we expected. The hotel was about a 45-50 minute drive from the airport. On the plus side, the staff was friendly and helpful when we needed a taxi, which was appreciated.
The reception area was nicely decorated and gave a good first impression. Overall, while the hotel itself was nice, I would consider staying again if I needed to, but I do wish they had done more to make our honeymoon feel special.

We absolutely loved our stay at The Hoxton Hotel in Rome! The hotel itself has such a classy, stylish vibe modern, chic, yet cozy.
When we arrived, we were surprised with some Aperol Spritz waiting in our room for our anniversary, such a thoughtful touch that made us feel so special.
Our room was beautiful, super comfortable, and well designed. We also had drinks at the bar downstairs, and Francesca, the bartender, was amazing. She crafted her own signature drink for us, and they just kept coming because they were that good!
We had dinner at the hotel restaurant as well, the food was fantastic, and the service was spot on. The staff made sure we had everything we wanted and that we were happy throughout.
Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend this hotel if you’re visiting Rome. You won’t be disappointed!

Good Location – Stylish Hotel with Some Flaws
The hotel is in a great location and overall presents a very stylish and well-maintained atmosphere. The rooms, while a bit small, are comfortable. We were travelling with our 7-year-old child, and although the hotel provided an extra bed, it unfortunately blocked access to the main wardrobe, making it inconvenient to move around.
Disappointing Service
Service was noticeably poor, both at breakfast and in the sitting lounge. While the lounge is visually appealing and plays pleasant music, getting the attention of staff was consistently difficult. The wait times and lack of attentiveness were not in line with the hotel’s otherwise premium appearance.
Extremely Disappointing Experience with Misleading Information
One of the most frustrating aspects of our stay was the misinformation provided regarding access to a nearby gym. The hotel’s Q&A section clearly advertised a discounted €10 day pass. However, when we inquired at the reception on 15 July 2025, we were told this was a “website error” and that the actual price was €15.
Despite explaining to both the receptionist and the manager that advertising one price and charging another is misleading and against consumer protection laws, the only response we received was an apology. No effort was made to honour the advertised price.
It’s not about the €5 difference — it’s about principle. The staff acknowledged the issue but refused to resolve it appropriately. This reflects a broader attitude of inflexibility, which was disappointing from an otherwise well-presented hotel.
A hotel that truly values its reputation would have taken swift and simple action to correct this. Sadly, this experience left a negative impression.

Great value for money! We stayed at this hotel for a day and we wish we could have stayed longer.
The staff are very friendly and helpful, we were given an upgrade to a better room even though we were only going to be there for a few hours.
We also thought we would try the restaurant and there again, friendly staff and a good breakfast menu.
The room itself was well decorated but the bathroom was a little small, nonetheless it was a very pleasant room.
The hotel itself is situated in a nice part of Rome and taking a taxi or walking is also recommended. A park is close by for those who are willing to walk 15 minutes and the Spanish steps are a 40 min walk. Not for the faint hearted.
Overall it was a hotel I would stay at again when in Rome.

We stayed here just for the day. I was impressed with most of the hotel and what it had to offer. The pricing is affordable for what you get which is a lot in return.
The staff were very friendly, very polite and we got an upgrade to a better room. The restaurant staff we also found were also all very friendly and efficient.
The communal spaces, which are also well set out allows you some time to have an aprittivo or a light lunch inside or outside depending on the weather. I liked that.
The rooms, well the room we stayed in was clean and neat, well decorated although the bathroom was a bit small but doable for 2 people.
The hotel is situated in a very nice position and the sights of Rome are quite nearby. The park is in walking distance if 15 minutes is okay for you just to get out of the hustle and bustle of a city for a short while.
In short, a very nice hotel with lots of potential.

Absolutely loved our stay at The Hoxton. The staff were absolutely amazing, so sweet and thoughtful. They remembered our child's name and treated her with the utmost kindness. The rooms were beautiful and spacious and the food and cocktails were delicious too. It was a bit out of the main attractions of the city, but super close to the serene Villa Borghese. The neighborhood was quaint and quiet. Lastly, I never once saw the cleaning staff for the rooms anywhere, but our room was always made up perfectly every day we were gone.

From the moment we were seated, they greeted us with a warm smile and genuine enthusiasm. This beautiful trendy hotel is outside of the busy tourist area. We loved everything about it. The rooms were clean, the service was amazing. Most of all, the atmosphere in the lobby was so chill and fun.

Perfect stay. New hotel with beautiful decoration and furniture. The staff is very friendly and helpful! The restaurant and bar have a terrace and offer delicious aperitifs and cocktails. The breakfast was also very good
