Kolbe Hotel

Pros:
- Great location, walking distance to places like Colosseum and Trevi Fountain.
- There's some places to go out and eat around the corner.
- Very friendly staff and we were allowed to check-in a few hours early.
- The breakfast buffet was better than some 5 star hotels I've been to.
- AC controls in the room.

Cons:
- No complimentary water or tea.

Location is perfect, you’re looking directly at the Roman Forum, it’s 8 minutes to the Colosseum, and it’s a short walk to other points of interest in the surrounding area. (Pantheon, Piazza Navona, Trevi Fountain)

Service is exceptional! Beds and hotel are nice and clean. The staff is always available, very helpful at getting taxis, plus the breakfast is delicious.

I plan on staying here in the future.

The location of this hotel was perfect. There was a side entrance to the Palestine Hill and colosseum which NEVER had a line. It had an excellent bar with adorable ambiance - twinkling lights and romantic in the garden. The rooms were exceptionally clean. Housekeeping was extremely accommodating. The only thing that I was surprised by was the tiny shower.

Had lovely stay for 2 nights in Rome. Great location, silent, staff was extremely welcoming and took our little one in count by setting a set of toys in our room. Restaurant was romantic garden setup and food tasty and fresh. Recommend to stay here. If aircon is too high you can get it switched off by the reception.

We loved our stay at Hotel Kolbe. We had a family room and it was so spacious and comfortable. The location of the hotel is wonderful. We enjoyed walking out our door to see Ancient Rome right in front of us. We also enjoyed the breakfast: large selection and the food was delicious. Finally, we cannot say enough good things about the staff. They were so friendly and kind, and extremely helpful.

Omar at the front desk was FANTASTIC and especially helpful in navigating ground transportation for our fast and furious stay. While the hallway was pleasant, the AC in our room did not cool as much as we would have liked. We had to call the desk to request the default setting go below 20. There are not adequate surfaces in the bathroom to rest the tray with complimentary soaps or larger toiletry items. Love the availability of lemon/orange infused cold water in the lobby. The dining room and gardens are gorgeous! The hotel location is PERFECT for touring the Colosseum and Forum and we love the history of Father Kolbe. Appreciate the head custodian taking time to show us the museum and terrace on a hot day. She was very gracious. Thanks for a 5 star stay!

Rooms were clean and very comfortable. The bathroom could do with an update but this wouldn't put me off returning for another visit

Great location, good breakfast, friendly and helpful staff, and spacious and clean rooms. Our family arrived much before our check in time, but our room was ready within minutes and we were even offered breakfast at the restaurant inside. The breakfast had a wide variety of foods and drinks. The Roman Forum and many great restaurants were also nearby. The staff provided us with a map and instructed us where we could go to eat and see tourist attractions. The rooms were clean and well-kept and the bathroom was also spacious and clean.

Beautiful hotel, gorgeous room with a view of the Palatine Hill. Every single member of staff was lovely, so helpful and friendly. Beautiful garden with fairy lights, had a lovely meal there and cocktails on other nights. Room was spotlessly clean. We had the luxury package and it ran so smoothly, car was waiting for us at the airport and also at the hotel for our return. Location is excellent too, everywhere in Rome is walkable. I would not hesitate to return to this hotel, highly recommended!

One of the highlights of our stay was the breakfast, served in a bright room with garden views. The variety and quality were excellent—fresh pastries, savory options, and great coffee. We also enjoyed a lovely dinner at the hotel's restaurant, Unique Al Palatine (Garden Restaurant), which combines creative Italian cuisine with attentive service.

The Kolbe Hotel strikes the perfect balance: it’s steeped in the history of Rome yet offers the comfort and elegance of a modern boutique hotel. It was the perfect home base for our Roman holiday, and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.
