Kolbe Hotel

Omar at the front desk was FANTASTIC and especially helpful in navigating ground transportation for our fast and furious stay. While the hallway was pleasant, the AC in our room did not cool as much as we would have liked. We had to call the desk to request the default setting go below 20. There are not adequate surfaces in the bathroom to rest the tray with complimentary soaps or larger toiletry items. Love the availability of lemon/orange infused cold water in the lobby. The dining room and gardens are gorgeous! The hotel location is PERFECT for touring the Colosseum and Forum and we love the history of Father Kolbe. Appreciate the head custodian taking time to show us the museum and terrace on a hot day. She was very gracious. Thanks for a 5 star stay!

Great location, good breakfast, friendly and helpful staff, and spacious and clean rooms. Our family arrived much before our check in time, but our room was ready within minutes and we were even offered breakfast at the restaurant inside. The breakfast had a wide variety of foods and drinks. The Roman Forum and many great restaurants were also nearby. The staff provided us with a map and instructed us where we could go to eat and see tourist attractions. The rooms were clean and well-kept and the bathroom was also spacious and clean.

Beautiful hotel, gorgeous room with a view of the Palatine Hill. Every single member of staff was lovely, so helpful and friendly. Beautiful garden with fairy lights, had a lovely meal there and cocktails on other nights. Room was spotlessly clean. We had the luxury package and it ran so smoothly, car was waiting for us at the airport and also at the hotel for our return. Location is excellent too, everywhere in Rome is walkable. I would not hesitate to return to this hotel, highly recommended!

Our stay at the Kolbe Hotel in Rome was nothing short of exceptional. Nestled beside the Palatine Hill and just a short walk from the Roman Forum and the Colosseum, this hotel offers a unique combination of modern comfort and historical charm that is hard to match.

The rooms were beautifully appointed—immaculately clean, tastefully decorated, and surprisingly quiet considering the central location. We had a room overlooking the peaceful inner garden, which made for a serene retreat after a day of exploring the city.

The staff were professional, friendly, and eager to assist with recommendations and directions. Their hospitality made us feel truly welcome from the moment we arrived.

One of the highlights of our stay was the breakfast, served in a bright room with garden views. The variety and quality were excellent—fresh pastries, savory options, and great coffee. We also enjoyed a lovely dinner at the hotel's restaurant, Unique Al Palatine (Garden Restaurant), which combines creative Italian cuisine with attentive service.

The Kolbe Hotel strikes the perfect balance: it’s steeped in the history of Rome yet offers the comfort and elegance of a modern boutique hotel. It was the perfect home base for our Roman holiday, and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

If you want to stay in a calm, relaxing, friendly hotel with fabulous service, great breakfasts and right in the middle of all the sites of Ancient Rome… don’t think too much about it. Just book this hotel.
No coffee machines in the rooms, no English TV channels and the in house restaurant is very expensive and fancy. But if those things are not important to you… I challenge you to find a better hotel and location.

We did the luxury junior suite. The room was beautiful. The ride to and from the airport was great and on time, not a limo, but it was better than a taxi. The only thing that was missing that was in the description was flowers in the room. I would stay here again. We loved our visit to Rome, this was a perfect location. We walked almost everywhere because of the convenient location. I would recommend.

It’s about 10-15min walking distance to Colosseum. However it’s about minimal 30 min walk to places like St Peter or shopping. There is construction on the front porch of the hotel. Hence may not be able to drop off directly at the hotel.

This was the most amazing hotel stay I have ever had. This hotel is conveniently located next to all the major attractions in the area. The staff is amazing, so friendly and ready to help. You can tell they all really enjoy their jobs. We usually took a taxi from the hotel to where we wanted to go and then just walked back to the hotel. The facility is very well kept and up to date. The marble floors are amazing and the stone arches in the restaurant are un-real. It feels like your eating in a wine cellar with windows. The outside dinning area is beautiful with olive trees and lime trees. There was a guitarist that played beautiful music in the court yard during dinner. At night the trees are decorated with lights the whole thing was just beautiful. We really enjoyed ourselves and you can bet we will be back to stay again.

This is my 3rd stay at the Kolbe. They went above and beyond to accommodate us during our stay. They upgraded our room upon request. All staff was super helpful in coordinating taxis and dinner reservations. Bar staff made the best cosmos you will find in Rome. The garden is beautiful, serene, and THE place to enjoy your downtime at the hotel. Breakfast is good, reliable, and easy! Location is in my opinion the best- quiet but centrally located, in more of what i would consider a residential area with views of the Ruins. 100% will be back!
