Antica Dimora Delle Cinque Lune in Rome

We had issues with our bathroom warming rack, they never fixed. A small tiny bathroom, small room like a studio with creepy picture on the wall, very close to a lot of attractions but loud at night you can't sleep, bikes, cars, people in the streets. My sister slept on a spare bed and squeaked like crazy, every time she would move, it sounded like it was falling apart. Couldn't sleep everything very cheap. The only great thing this hotel/motel has? Is the rooftop.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. YOUR TRIP WILL BE RUINED!

If I could rate this with zero stars, I would.

Upon checking in, I was given a room that was sweltering warm on a day when the outside temp was 97F.

Since the rooms have no phones (I was unaware of this), I got the pleasure of going downstairs to complain, as the hotel elects to control the AC, not letting the guest adjust it to their own comfort.

My child and myself were given another room which was barely better, but we were informed it would cool off more quickly in this room. We also had the pleasure of getting to move all of our things ourselves after traveling for 14 hours. No help was even offered.

After being out for several hours, we returned to a room that was far too warm. Again I have to proceed downstairs. I request to know when the manager (supposedly his name is Maurizio) will be in, to which the staff has no clue.

Earlier in the day I had been informed that the reason they control the AC is because guests like to use it a lot in the summer (genius, right ?). Later in the day I was told it was due to safety reasons. This was another lie, as the rooftop café is fully ait conditioned, proving safety is far from an issue.

To add, the windows are so old, you can hear full on conversations from the street.

I still have no answer as to when a manager will be available. When I ask if I would be charged should I find another accommodation, no answer is given.

Don't stay here.

Sadly, the AC didn’t work our first night and it was the WORST sleep of my entire life. I had to put a cold water bottle on my chest in the middle of the night - it was over 90 degrees. We got asked to be put in another room and upon inspecting it, the room was just as hot. We decided to stay in our room and the AC got slightly better the last two nights, but barely. Overall it was so incredibly hot, and to not have working AC is a joke.

This is not a comfortable hotel by any means. The room is very dark / kind of creepy - not welcoming or enjoyable at all. The bed is uncomfortable / bad sheets. If you’re okay with a steamy dark room, go ahead and book. Otherwise I’d highly reccomend booking elsewhere. I was extremely underwhelmed.
