Hotel Alla Fava

Misleading hotel.

Advertises AC in their website (they only have heaters installed), claustrophobic room with rock hard mattress and paper thin pillows, feels like a ticking oven inside the hotel-room compared to the sala and literally everywhere else.

Owners should clarify what includes in the rooms CORRECTLY so customers can stop booking here… Talked to the families who stayed in the same floor I did, they left angrily throughout the nights. Their reasons? -The rooms are not what the Hotel’s website promote.

The owners can never seem to get back at the emails coming from customers asking about the hotel, now reading their [incredibly rude] responses to other reviews I now know booking a few nights here was a tremendous mistake.

Never again. The bare minimum would be to provide fans.

No A/C! Please book anywhere other than this place! I had booked the Quadruple Room, Canal View, for one night in Aug 2024. I had the worst experience of staying at a hotel ever. They publish the following amenities, none of which are true.

Concierge services
Luggage storage
Tour/ticket assistance
The rooms are all comfortable and equipped with Wi-Fi and TV

Most of all, air conditioning and heating!

These are all blatant lies! There is no air conditioning whatsoever! There is only a stand fan, not an A/C, which can't cool the room. It was close to 100 degrees Fahrenheit when we visited and even after complaining several times, they said there was nothing they could do. There is no receptionist so they can't provide any of the services they mentioned. Please read just a few of the reviews to see what other travelers have experienced staying at this hotel before making a booking at this hotel. This hotel shouldn't be in business and every site should delist it! We just left and checked into another hotel. I demanded a full refund but obviously, they refused.

The staff is very friendly and sweet. The rooms unfortunately an expensive trap. There's no air conditioning so you're stuck in a smaaaaalll room with no air to breath and a ventilator that barely helps. In July and August absolutely impossible for Venice, especially for the price.

Alla Fava was good for what it was… a place to sleep. But even that was a bit rough. The AC was non existent and visiting Venice in July it was almost unbearable. There was a fan in the room but with no airflow it didn’t do much.

The only front desk staff we met was surly, and almost always smoking on the front step. When we came back we were either greeted with a grunt or nothing at all, and he definitely didn’t let us interrupt his smoke breaks.

The hotel is in a quiet corner, very close to Ponte Rialto, and the position and overall seclusion were nice. But definitely don’t get your hopes up.

There is no air conditioning at all. You will sweat. I recommend the owners get a slit system ac for the lobby and the rooms. The location is good . Guy at fromt desk poor thing has to sweat to death too. Is very kind..... great guy. But i will not return. YOU CANT BREATHE ITS TOO HOT. I CANT IMAGINE JULY AND AUGUST.
OWNER OF HOTEL. DONT BE A CHEAP SKATE. BUY AIR CONDITIOMERS FOR THE LOVE OF GOD.

A really dirty place with small rooms, really hot even in the winter time, there were a lot of mosquitoes but we had to open the windows at night or we couldn't sleep because of the high temperature in the room (with the heating turned off).
It is near the Rialto bridge which is a good point.
I wouldn't say it was cheap at least because it wasn't.
Wouldn't recommend.
