Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok, an IHG Hotel

We recently had the pleasure of staying at your hotel from November 6 to November 9, 2024, and We wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for the exceptional service I received during my stay.

Firstly, I would like to commend the customer service representative who assisted us during check-in and throughout our stay. Although I regret to say that I did not catch her name, she was incredibly patient and adept at handling all our inquiries and concerns.

Additionally, I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Mr. K, the bellboy. He warmly greeted us every time we passed through the lobby, and his willingness to help us throughout our stay made our experience truly memorable.

Please convey my appreciation to both of these outstanding team members, as their dedication certainly contributed to a wonderful experience.

Absolutely phenomenal experience — by far the best hotel I’ve ever been to and the one that truly felt like 5-star. All while being reasonably priced! Everything was above and beyond, from the reception and the room to the amenities and the food. Best hotel gym? Check. Best breakfast buffet? Check. Best upgrade to a suite? Check. Can’t wait to come back here and will now recommend as the go to place to stay in Bangkok.

A little torn about this hotel. First of all, the location isn't very practical: it's fairly central but on a long somewhat uninteresting one-way street making Taxi/Grab pick ups lengthy. If you want to take BTS (which I recommend, given the traffic in Bangkok, it's a bit of a walk). Next, the staff: absolutely A+, definitely worthy of the five stars. Extremely polite and accommodating, with delightful attentions throughout our stay. They noticed it was my birthday despite me not mentioning it, and delivered a cake to my room, which was really really nice.

We had breakfast a few times and the selection is absolutely huge, there's simply everything you might want. Western, Thai, Chinese, Korean, Arabic etc, with great coffee to boot.

However, the room itself wasn't great. The bathroom and surroundings had water damage from a defective tub faucet that also leaked when we used it. The marble surrounds of the sink had been broken and poorly repaired, and the shower door also leaked, flooding the rest of the bathroom.
We had a suite, and the living room TV didn't work properly, and we couldn't figure out why. Balconies are nice though. We also appreciated the comfortable bed and turndown service, although a little over the top.

Overall, I'd say it's not really worth its price, as you can get comparable quality rooms for much less money at other better located high-end hotels in Bangkok. Unless you count and use all the amenities, I'll stay somewhere else next time.

The service was exceptional at this hotel, starting with Gray at the front desk who was very helpful and friendly in finding a room that was better than the immediately available ones, and gave us flexibility in breakfast options and explaining the perks that the hotel offers. The room with the garden view and extra large bathroom with walk-in closet was phenomenal.

I also want to express my sincere gratitude to Ying, the concierge, who made our first trip to Bangkok truly extraordinary. Through each day in our stay, she was very sweet, welcoming, and extraordinarily helpful. She went above and beyond to provide us with insider tips on must-see attractions, expertly guided us on the best ways to navigate the city, and even secured reservations for us each day. I can't thank her enough for her invaluable assistance and for making our Bangkok adventure so unforgettable.

All the employees in the hotel were also very friendly and eager to lend aid where possible, making this one of my favorite hotels I've stayed at in the world. Looking forward to staying here on my next trip to Bangkok!

The place is very beautiful. The atmosphere is relaxed in the middle of the city. It is suitable for relaxing without having to drive out of town.

The dogs and cats are cute. The hotel is beautiful. The atmosphere is good. The staff is cute. I went there and wanted to come back again. We would like to recommend everyone to go. The restaurant has a good atmosphere. The coffee is delicious. There are dogs and cats to look at. Each one is very cute.

Forgot to write another story~ This morning I went running and fell, so I walked back to the school to ask for wound cleaning medicine at the school, but the staff member followed someone to treat the wound. I am really impressed with the service here. 😊

The room was exceptional, the service was outstanding, and the facilities were top-notch. The bath amenities, featuring HARNN, were absolutely flawless—truly perfect in every way.

The turn-down service was a delightful surprise, and the breakfast staff were incredibly attentive and thoughtful. The bellman’s warm and enthusiastic service also added to the welcoming atmosphere. This stay created some of my happiest memories in Bangkok.

This is easily one of my favorite hotel to stay in Bangkok. The location couldn’t be better—it’s close to everything you need but still feels tucked away. The vibe here is incredible, and the food never disappoints. What really sets it apart, are all the adorable dogs around the café and property—it’s such a unique touch. The staff are amazing and go out of their way to make sure you’re taken care of.

The hotel has a very impressive and thoughtful design. The check-in experience is particularly special, with the reception desk set up more like an island where staff and guests can connect better, rather than being separated by a large formal desk. This creates a more welcoming and personal atmosphere.

An additional unique aspect is that the hotel accommodates guests' pets as well. The breakfast buffet, though requiring some waiting in line, offers delicious and tasty meal options.

Overall, the hotel seems to have put a lot of care into crafting an exceptional hospitality experience for its guests, from the innovative lobby design to the pet-friendly policies. The combination of attentive service, attractive spaces, and quality food makes for an enjoyable stay.
