Reviews
That said, there were a few areas for improvement. The swimming pool was surprisingly small – it felt more like a children’s pool, and even with just 2~3 people, it already felt crowded. The water was also extremely cold, which made it difficult to enjoy a swim. It’s a shame, because the pool staff were so friendly and welcoming.
We also tried the buffet, but unfortunately it didn’t meet expectations, especially considering the price.
Still, what stood out most was the consistently excellent service from every member of the staff. Their warm hospitality left a lasting impression, and despite a few shortcomings, we’ll remember this hotel for the way we were treated.
From the moment I arrived, I was met not just with service, but with care, memory, and grace. It’s a house that doesn’t merely aim to impress — it invites you into a rhythm, a mood, a feeling. There’s a serenity here, scented with jasmine and softened by gestures that feel deeply personal. The St. Regis Bangkok doesn’t just host you. It sees you.
The interiors are tactile and thoughtfully composed: silk brocade walls, dark wood doors and floors, floor-to-ceiling marble bathrooms with chrome fixtures — all framed by lush tropical greenery and soft-petaled florals at every turn.
As my car pulled up to the main driveway, I was immediately welcomed. My luggage was swiftly taken care of, and I was escorted up to the 12th-floor reception for check-in. This upper-level lobby shares space with several elegant lounges and entertaining areas, while the ground floor holds its own grand lobby with floral installations and quiet corners perfect for hosting or simply observing.
From check-in to settling in, the experience unfolds in five gracious touchpoints — a detail that felt serendipitous to me, as five happens to be my lucky number. Saint (5 letters), Regis (5 letters), and five team members who greeted me in the first hour:
1. The welcome escort from the car and check-in desk
2. A Guest Arrival Ambassador delivering my luggage and offering to unpack
3. A Butler introducing 24-hour services — from coffee and tea, to a drawn bath or newspaper delivery
4. A second follow-up from the butler team to ensure everything was to my liking
5. A concierge check-in for personalized recommendations
The room itself is exquisite — traditional yet refined — with dark woods, embroidered silk details, and a spa-like bathroom adorned in marble and glass. My view overlooked the pool, a peaceful contrast to the city’s pulse below.
One of the most memorable surprises during my stay was the one-hour Muay Thai kickboxing session with Khun Oat, a fantastic instructor who guided me through jabs, hooks, and kicks with incredible patience and encouragement. Afterward, a chilled towel and assisted stretch completed the experience. It was unexpected — and uniquely Bangkok — the kind of signature moment you won’t find at any other St. Regis in the world.
The property itself is beautifully appointed with multiple restaurants, a serene pool, a hammam, cold plunge, a spa, and a modern gym. Its location, adjacent to the Erawan Shrine and at one of Bangkok’s most prestigious intersections, offers both convenience and cultural richness.
But above all, what elevates The St. Regis Bangkok to a true five-star experience is its people. The team feels like family — welcoming you not just with polish, but with heart. That’s what stays with you long after you’ve left: not just the elegance of the property, but the soul of its service.
We have stayed at many 5-star hotels, but St. Regis Bangkok continues to stand out and that’s why we keep coming back. The exceptional service begins right at the airport transfer with Khun Komson, Bangkok traffic can be unpredictable and take over an hour, but the ride is always pleasant thanks to the comfortable car, thoughtful amenities, big smile of driver and in-car Wi-Fi, which makes the time fly by.
Upon arrival, the warm and professional concierge and bell team — K.Eed, K. Poo, K. Pok, and K. Fahad are always there to welcome you with a smile and offer help with anything you need, from A to Z. Their attitude is always “yes,” no matter the request.
Check-in and check-out are consistently quick and smooth, and K. Katie, K Ploy at reception always ensures everything is handled with warmth and efficiency.
The rooms are spacious, modern, and well-designed, with great views. What makes it even more special is the personalized touch: a handwritten welcome-back card, along with fruits and snacks you actually like — a thoughtful gesture from the butler service that truly makes you feel at home.
Breakfast is great, with a wide variety of choices and attentive service — special thanks to K. May for always taking great care of us. Room service is also impressive, with delicious food served hot and promptly.
The hotel is very kid-friendly, which is a huge plus for families. My son absolutely loves being here and he really likes K Eed (Mr. Magic man)
I always take my time at Fitness, special mention to K.Jack, who always takes great care of guests. He offers creative tips and exercises to keep your fitness routine fresh and engaging, making workouts something to look forward to. The swimming pool is also lovely.
And of course, back office team — the people we don’t meet, but whose hard work and dedication help everything run so smoothly.
Bangkok is full of luxury hotels, but the St. Regis rises above the competition from its outstanding service. They consistently anticipate your needs and go the extra mile to make every stay not just comfortable, but memorable.
The St. Regis Bangkok delivers everything you’d expect from a 5-star property—and then some. From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable. The butler service is a standout feature, making every detail of your stay feel effortless and personal.
The rooms are spacious, beautifully designed, and offer stunning city views. High-end touches throughout—from the plush bedding to the marble bathrooms—make it feel like a true sanctuary in the middle of Bangkok’s buzz.
Breakfast was incredible, with a huge selection of both Western and Asian options, all top quality. The pool and gym facilities were excellent, and the direct access to the BTS (via skywalk) makes it super convenient for getting around.
Whether you’re in Bangkok for business or a city escape, The St. Regis is the perfect blend of comfort, style, and world-class hospitality. Worth every baht.
