For who want the honest review here it is.
I arrived at hotel around 8pm and after staff hand me a key card, staffs seem want to chat with each other more than give me a direction which way is elevator or what my room is on what floor? But for morning shift staff at reception they do a great job i do not blame them at this point. For a room review this is classic hotel which give a old school interior vibe not much new technology like TV or something else please do not expect much about this but it’s still a great room. Last but not least breakfast, food is decent i have a great time here but i wonder again that why staff at breakfast area love to chitchat more than take care of customers. I know that the price per night of this hotel is good but i do not expect unprofessional of staff like this.

At first I should mention that the breakfast was actually good, but the room service not all. The Room had no window, the atmosphere was so bad. The toilet flush stopped working for two times. we didn’t have access to internet and it took hours to fix it.

In terms of breakfast, it met the tastes of Thais and Indians, but it did not have an international breakfast. The rooms were of very low quality. My son also lost the power to the refrigerator, and in terms of the bed, the sheets were torn and the blanket was very dirty. When we informed the housekeeping, they said that we are not coming tonight. We had to change it with a lot of arguments. As we wanted to leave the hotel, I tried to solve our problem. In terms of quality, it is not a 5-star hotel. The carpeted slippers had been washed and had been used several times.It was not a 5-star hotel, the bathroom and the tub inside it were very dirty.

This is a 5 star hotel, we booked for 4 nights then added another 3 ... we had a corner room with river views. The room is big, views amazing and everything you need is here. The breakfast is also amazing with so much to choose from and all top quality and tasty. The staff are friendly and helpful. A shopping centre Terminal 21 is next door and a free hotel shuttle bus drops you off down town at preset times. Happy to recommend the Montien..

The rooms are big with views of the river. This was built as a luxurious hotel and has aged well but I had trouble with the bedside controller for the lights and air conditioning despite it being repaired twice whilst I was here. I found the bed uncomfortable. The staff were all excellent. The breakfast was good. Dining by the riverside was good with a musician until 9pm. The food was well presented but a little expensive by Thailand prices.

Rooms are spaceous with amazing views, could need a brush up, but nothing horrible. Service lacks a bit of a personal touch as well as a lack of information conserning whats included and how things work at the hotel. That said, they are respectful and carry your bags to your room for you. Close to buss stops and a shopping mall with decent restaurants. Not that close to any metro or sky train, but Bangkok is very easily travelled by Bolt/Grab as well. For the price this place is definately worth it.

Service (2/5) - Even though they had a room with king bed they forced us to take a room with twin bed. When my wife showed her disappointment then they said "Okay, we have found one". We had a baby with us and our booking clearly mentioned that we needed a room with king sized bed. So this was not a good experience.
Rooms (3.5/5) - Rooms are equipped with every item and are well maintained. Though old, rooms are clean and have a great view of Chao Phraya river.
Food (4/5) - Though pricey, the food is delicious and comes on time. The breakfast buffet was good too.
Location (4/5) - It's located 37 km from the airport near Chao Phraya river and places like Asiatique river front and Icon Siam mall are in close proximity to this hotel.
Staff (1/5) - The people who bring food seems to be wanting a tip to bring it to you. There is no point of tip when they are charging a service charge of 10% already.
Breakfast closes at 10 AM, which is at least 30 minutes early and by 10 they just remove all the items quickly.

We have been coming to this lovely hotel since tha late 1990's. I love the staff and the quality of service. Their breakfast buffet is outstanding and the rooms large and comfortable.
While it is not in the "center" of town, it is close enough to easily take the shuttle to Saphan Taksin sky train and travel cheaply anywhere in Bangkok. The recent opening of the Terminal 21 Rama 3, right next door, is an added bonus!
I love this hotel and it's wonderful staff. Highly reccommended!

The Hotel Is very far from Airport around 26 km took 44 minutes drive to reach & it's big from outside. Rooms are old interior but Riverfront view is nice from room. Bathrooms have jacuzzi & handshower for Indians in 🚻 so it's good to stay. Manager of Hotel is so kind & humble as I broke my Footwear & have nothing to wear after checkout to go to mall & buy it but she helped me & offer her Footwear a kind gesture of her. Token of appreciation to her as she will resolved your problem if you connect to her. My 2 days stay was so comfortable but food options for Indians arr not available to take meal from hotel is not good idea other than that it's good.

Far away from everything, found cockroach in my toilet the first day 😂👍 not every time grab and bolt apps are available to pick you up from there, sometimes you need to wait or pay more normal taxi. In general this hotel looked old and the only thing positive about it are people who work there and the view from window. I was super surprised to see the cockroach near the mirror in toilet in my room on 18th floor!
