The Expat Hotel - SHA Extra Plus

I've had the pleasure of staying at the Expat Hotel twice now, and each time I check out, I feel a bit of sadness. It’s hard to say goodbye to the incredible staff and the welcoming atmosphere that makes this place so special. The first visit was only a couple days, but yet returning a year later, the bartender remembered me and gave me a warm greeting.

During the last few days of my trip, I found myself hardly wanting to leave—especially for someone like me who typically enjoys the nightlife on Bangla Road. Speaking of which, the hotel is just minutes away from one of the biggest party scenes in the world, yet it’s tucked away on a quiet street, offering a perfect balance.

The hotel is filled with natural light, creating a bright and inviting ambiance. Unlike other hotels that are often overshadowed by larger buildings, the Expat Hotel stands out with its vibrant energy. Moving from my room to the pool to the bar is effortless, making it a truly enjoyable experience. Even though I’ve stayed at fancier hotels, I’ve never felt more at home than I do here. It’s just an amazing place!

A special perl in Patong beach. I feel like at home, i come back next time in Patong. Also if there are a rainin day you can enjoy the restaurant the pool bar and the top class massage

Great place, friendly employees and well managed. Centrally located but noiseless.
Price is good and every service is excellent.

Fantastic location and great staff. Massage available near pool, sports bar at front and quieter bar and food served behind on the pool side. Looking forward to coming back. Rooms comfortable, very nice bed!

We had a nice stay on this place. We moved to a different hotel now in a different location and we sorely miss this one.
Pros.
*It's walking distance to the famous bagla road where crazy and fun things are happening
*Despite it being close to Bangla road it feels peaceful and tranquil there.
*They have a nice pool area
*The staff are very accommodating and helpful
* It's affordable
*They have a bar and restaurant
* Free breakfast
* The rooms were clean and I didn't get bug bites, several times it happened to me and to this hotel I sleep peacefully

Excellent stay!
Booked for a short visit and extended and extended...in the end stayed more than 6 months. That might just explain my 5/5 stars. I have never stayed such a long time in one place.But to review..
Came to Patong just to see the quiet life here during Covid19 times. Booked Expat as stayed here few years ago and liked the atmosphere. So, came in order to stay a short while... But, I just love it. The relaxed atmosphere is still here. Wonderful,supernice staff. I feel safe and sound here. The rooms basic and comfy. Everything works and if not, just ask and it will be taken care of. The pool garden nice, sunshine all day. And, the location. As always a walker,I appreciate the convenience of central location. If you are are bar crawler, Bangla is 2minutes walk. I am not, so 5minutes walk to the beach. Or to the fresh market/ Jungceylon/Central/ the immigration... Even in the center of all, the soi is quiet and I sleep like a baby here. In their popular bar here they have one absolutely excellent band performing every now and then and even though I do not attend the parties, I do enjoy the music on my poolside balcony (which is now my favourite type of room) Highly recommend for all, short or long-term.

Love the expat close to everything, the girls are fantastic and friendly, bar is like your local, i travelled alone within a few minutes i made really good friends and still keep in touch. Cant wait until next vist.

Nice place to stay. Be aware that there are two Expat Hotels in Patong. But just 10min away from each other.
