Golden Horn Park Hotel

Terrible hotel. The reception was almost always empty, and we had to hunt down a staff member whenever we needed something. At one point, they even sent someone who looked about 14 years old to the front desk. The room was pitch dark even during the day because the window faced a wall just 5 centimeters away. If someone farted two floors away, I heard it like they were right next to me. So yeah, that should give you an idea of the amazing soundproofing in that place.

Every day brought a new issue we weren’t expecting: the internet went out, the power went out, we couldn’t access our room, etc. In a whole week, the room was never cleaned, and the towels were never replaced—despite us asking three times. Each time, they promised but never followed through.

The furniture was broken, the mattress had springs sticking out (which was dangerous), and the bathroom was moldy, with visible hair everywhere. It felt hazardous to our health. Everything the hotel advertised on their website was false.

The neighborhood was run-down and felt unsafe. Breakfast was repetitive and poor—there weren’t even knives. Anything we happened to like disappeared from the menu for the rest of the week.

We thought about leaving for another place every single day. It was not a good experience at all. In Hungary, places like this would be shut down and fined.

Details and Pictures on Booking.com are misleading. The staff doesn't speak English and the rooms are pretty small but not dirty. The food overall is not good but some things are ok. The Hotel is next to a market which is great at daylight. At night the place doesn't look great. But everything is reachable easily from there and there's a Bus Station a few meters further.

Not good not fresh air toilet.

The beds and bedding are normal, but in the bathroom there are obvious problems with the sewage system (it stank) and there was also black mold in the corners. Breakfast was also not good...
The staff is normal, they can help and advise.

Utter rubbish.. this hotel is a fraud the pics they have used to advert their rooms are fake in reality they are no where close to it. I have booked 3 days with them and the moment I entered into that hotel it looked doggy plus the rooms they gave me was a piece of filth , there were no curtains no heating system not even a rubbish bin .. basically they have got nothing other then beds .. the bathroom was in bad hygiene condition its roof was broken and spider webs were there too .. In short if you dont want to spoil ur vacations plz STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL

That was the worst hotel I've ever been to. Bad breakfast. Bad attitude. Dirty sheets. Small rooms. It is a bad dormitory not a hotel. The stairs are dangerous to walk on. Your room view is a concrete wall. Elevator is not working. Don't go there.
