First of all: This hotel is really clean and service is professional and friendly. The room I had was well equipped with a nice view over the sea. The breakfast buffet is large with enough variety for everyone. I just missed typical dark European breads.
The hotel has its own taxi service which is very convenient and you don’t have to worry about card payments or unusual rates.
The only negative point is the location which is a little bit far from the city center but this shouldn’t be a critical factor.

Great service, very good breakfast. Surrounding neighborhood was quiet. Lots of great places to eat. The hotel has a very large and well maintained pool. Excellent gym and spa

Great Renaissance hotel located near the water. Not the most convenient as the closest subway station (line B1) is a 10-15min walk. There are some local restaurants nearby, many about 15 min walk. The rooms are nice but slightly dated. Room cleaning is variable (sometimes they clean the trash cans, sometimes they don’t) but the service is fast. I left for breakfast one morning and when I returned 30min later, the room was already cleaned. Club Lounge is located on -1 level and they serve a little food from 5:30-7:30p. Gym also available although not large. What really was a disappoint at the hotel was the food. The breakfast buffet was not good and the options limited.

Five star hotel close to Vosporus. The rooms are nice, spacious and clean. Hotel is a little bit old but in general in good condition. Security guards are at the entrance. In the hotel exist a nice sea food restaurant. Price is very advantageous in comparison to other hotels of the same quality. Breakfast is served in a nice place with excellent view but I can not understand why I had to pay extra in order to drink a Turkish coffee.

After a very long flight arriving at 4AM found the the staff to be very polite and happy to help! The hotel was spotless and the room was very comfortable. Every staff member we met was polite and happy to help! Great Hotel and Staff!!!

I loved this hotel the I love this location because they have such beautiful views the service is great everyone who works here is so kind and always says hello. The rooms are so nicely made and just the right size you need, there is stuff in the fridge like coffee or snacks. They have all the stuff you could possibly imagine likes there’s a pool, shops restaurants and more that why I give this hotel five stars!!

Superb experience, lovely staff, great room! End-to-end, I had an excellent 3-night stay. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a view of the water. The food was great (though I only had breakfast there). Excellent fitness and sauna/steam/hamam facilities, too. Note it’s a 20-minute rail metro trip from the old town, but I considered it part of the experience.

Room: I was upgraded and it was a kind gesture from the hotel. The room was not up my expectations and the manager on duty helped me to get another room. It had an amazing view. I love the place.

Very nice hotel that was offered for free if you have a booking on Turkish airlines with a long layover. The location is a bit far from the center but you can go there with a 20-30 mins ride by train. There was 1 meal or breakfast which was very good included. The rooms are nice and the beds comfortable. There's nice views of the Bosphorus. It was the perfect place to rest before another long flight.

This was my second time staying at the Renaissance Polat hotel. I only booked it this time because of the location. I could not believe the treatment I received. While checking in I was told that my room had been upgraded to sea view. And they had a delicious tart pastry waiting in my room. A few times the hotel manager sent nice gifts to my room during my stay. It wasn’t my birthday, nor was I celebrating any holidays. The housekeeping ladies were very friendly and we exchanged laughter. One lady in particular noticed I left my room about 6:30 am. I went to swim, workout, then sauna. She was there almost every morning near my room ready to clean. There was a friendly lady I met in the lobby next to bakery there. She also helped me in the bakery one day. The night shift luggage carrier was very kind and friendly. The waiters, waitresses, and chefs in the breakfast lounge were very patient and kind. The gentleman doing the laundry service pick up was kind. On my first night stay, I ate at the Balik (fish) restaurant. The waiters and I exchanged lots of laughter. The level of care and service received by the team of people in the spa and hair service made me speechless. I will never forget this. There is nothing like Turkish hospitality. InshaAllah I will be back very soon.
