Renzo Hotel Istanbul

The service was absolutely terrible,the rooms had a terrible smell and the level of the cleanliness was 0.

My friend and I stayed on 2nd Floor, Room 204 in June 2024. The room was not clean and the toilet was structured very weirdly which meant we struggled to sit/use it. I feel the photos do not do any justice to the hotel as the overall condition wasnt great, clean.

The staff were very nosey and trying to recruit indirectly for undercover airport transfer.

On the day of check out, the wifi wasnt working in our room but coincidently it was working in the reception area.

Tragically another guest experienced theft from their room (money/card) was stolen.

The breakfast is limited and both the kitchen looked really miserable and told me not to pour water in the kitchen sink.

Renzo hotel was hard to locate, no lights in the dark so hard to spot in the street.

Its always better to check-in to a 5 star hotel in the area than stay at Renzo for cheap. You pay for what you get and we experienced this. Not a pleasant 4 night stay and we had to ask for toilet tissue.

I've been to 4 different hotels in turkey and honestly this was the worst one I've stayed at. When I first saw the reception office my jaw dropped by seeing how poorly it was set. I got so disappointed. The room looked like a homeless dog lived in it. And the reception workers barely knew English. Their English was so broken.

The rooms were okay. They gave us 2 room keycards where one of them didn't even open the door. The AC didn't work so effectively. But overall the rooms weren't so bad.

The bathroom was horrible. The toilet seat was made of wood. And the wood wasn't smooth. My azz hurt while sitting in them. And the shower room was so small that a bigger size person wouldn't even move inside it. The shower window doors didn't even move well and didn't close properly so during showering water flew everywhere in the bathroom. The door almost broke.

The breakfast was insane. They rarely restocked the food. The workers were so lazy. They didn't wash the dishes so many people didn't get plates in time. They don't restock warm food. So many people didn't get anything. And the worst part was that the kitchen was next to the dining area so we see them cooking and washing the dishes and they smoke outside next to the dining room and we see that too. And the food didn't make me happy.
During Eid they barely even had anything in the breakfast.

Only thing good about this Hotel was the location. It was near many bazaars, mosques and tram stations.

If you're looking a 4 star hotel, this isn't it. The facilities are basic at best.. The promotional photographs are enhanced. The rooms barely fit the bed let alone any thing else. The roof restaurant has a marvelous view of the hot water system and a pair of inverters. The breakfast is basic to describe it politely. The only positive is the young manager who's name escapes. We managed to bridge the language barrier with humour and technology. To be charged a small fortune for such elemental facilities is insulting.

Staff is so friendly. Pillow and towels are so dirty. Breakfast is ok, but you need to go early because you don't find eggs...

Rooms are boiling
Air conditioning doesn't work.
They promised theyl fix it a number of times. Came did nothing but "sorry should have told me yesterday (even though i did and TWICE) other rooms are full"
Breakfast room again No AC breakfast itself was very poor.
The lady is washing the dishes right next you.
Cornflakes felt it was out in the air for a few days.
I am a frequent traveller and this was my worst hotel experience by far.
This hotel claims its 4 * and has pictures online looking nothing like it actually is. Very deceitful and dishonest.
