Reviews
The price is ok , but the rooms need some work . In the room I stayed the door handle was coming off , the bathroom door had a dent from punch , and some other vandalism actions that are not expected in such a hotel.
It has 23 floors and in the top a roof garden bar/restaurant, additionally it has a great view in the city of Sofia also in ground floor inside of hotel there is a casino.
Based on price and location its worth staying for few days to explore Sofia!
Rooms are small, two persons fits great. Hotel was renewed few years ago and it is nice. Bathroom is very nice.
Strange security / concierge, understaffed reception when arrivals/checkouts. Nice thing is that when you ask for a taxi, they are there very quickly.
Breakfast is its own chapter. Cold room. Terrible coffee (you can also order and pay from the bar - it is bit better, but you pay for that), unpleasant staff and look at the photos taken at 8.20. And this is how it was 15 mins. And the biscuits on the photo are burnt.
Staying 4 nights.
The problem is that they have the heating set at 27° C or higher, in early may, and you can’t lower it. When we asked the front desk, the bellboy very rudely told us there is no air conditioning, and if we were hot just to open the window. All of our group complained about how hot the rooms were.
Also we asked for a bottle of water, and was told there is no water at night, because there lock the room.
The breakfast buffet only has ONE coffee machine, for a hotel this size, and you will have to make a 20 min queue if you want one.
There is close to no service, and rude for a hotel this size, only one person attending the breakfast.
Also, the bathroom design in the recently renovated rooms, is really bad, when you take a shower the water goes everywhere, except for the drain, because the one in our room was clogged.
The top level contains a restaurant-turned-nightclub, serving delicious food and drinks, with ample seating. It does allow indoor smoking at the tables, with ash trays provided and filtered air so the smoke does not fill the room whatsoever. It is a little on the pricey side, but it was a very enjoyable experience, and it was hilarious surprise when it suddenly transitioned from quiet restaurant to full-on nightclub!
The included breakfasts had a variety of options available but did leave me wanting. The food wasn't the best, but it certainly wasn't the worst. Nice and light to begin the day. It did the trick.
Front desk staff were able to easily accommodate requests and calls for taxis, ensuring the taxi services requested were reliable, safe, and fairly priced. They also provided wonderful recommendations for daytime activities. I would absolutely stay here again.
Photos provided are of the upper level restaurant/nightclub.
The food was good but I was hoping they had more traditional food added to their menu.
It is more westernized than Bulgarian.
