Honest opinion: An absolutely outstanding hotel – one of the very best I’ve ever stayed at. Everything was executed to an exceptionally high standard: the room was beautiful, spotlessly clean, and finished with premium materials; every single detail throughout the property showed genuine care and attention. The spa center was excellent. Housekeeping was flawless, the atmosphere luxurious yet welcoming, and the overall experience felt truly five-star from the moment I arrived. A special mention must go to Anthony Ivanov at the front desk – he was exceptionally professional, friendly, and proactive. Whenever I had a question, he handled it with impressive efficiency.
Highly recommended to anyone who appreciates real luxury and outstanding service. I will definitely return!

Stayed at a suit which was quite spacious. Spa facilities particularly sauna was great.

We stayed at the Grand Millennium Hotel in Sofia for New Year celebrations and booked four nights without breakfast.
Honestly, this hotel is on an great and you feel it from the moment you walk in.

The room was huge and very comfortable. Cleanliness was on a very high level. Every single day a cleaner came in and even washed the shower properly with cleaning materials.

To access any floor in the elevator, you must scan your room card, and it only allows you to go to your specific floor.

One important thing to mention is that on Booking the hotel has a pool. When we arrived, we found out that the pool is part of the spa, and entry to the spa costs 40 euros per day. If having a pool is important to you, make sure to include the spa cost in your budget planning.

The hotel has some of the best restaurants in the city. On the ground floor there is a Mediterranean restaurant that feels high quality and well done. On the first floor there is a coffee bistro with a great selection of coffees, fresh juices, and breakfast options.

On the casino floor there are two more restaurants. One is the casino restaurant, which is a full restaurant where anyone can order food. If you are playing in the casino, you earn points that you can use to eat there for free, which is a nice bonus. The second restaurant is Asian, and we liked it so much that we even left a separate review for it. The food is very diverse, with lots of Asian options like sushi, fish, and also plenty of meat options. Everything we tried was really good.

The casino itself is very luxurious and impressive. We really enjoyed the overall experience there. One thing to know is that there are no free alcoholic drinks in the casino. Drinks are paid unless you are actively playing and earning points through their loyalty program, which you can then use at the bar(barley enough for a beer).

On the top floor, on the 28th floor, there is the Spectrum restaurant. This is a fine dining rooftop restaurant with an amazing view over the entire city. It is very upscale, with small and expensive dishes, but the place itself is extremely impressive and worth visiting at least once for the view and atmosphere.

Overall, this is a luxury hotel with great food, great service, and a premium vibe. Just make sure you know exactly what is included and what is extra, and you will have an amazing stay.

Spacious room however low quality amenities. Housekeeping staff was very friendly & professional, same could be said about the concierge. 
Reception staff weren’t great however - not the list friendly or welcoming.
Overall, the hotel was well located, with spacious rooms and great restaurants. However, the amenities were lacking and reception staff weren’t as friendly as one would expect from a 5 star property.

It was a 5 star by all means. It was really great huge rooms great view, everything was clean and nice. Bed was super comfortable and there was space for everything.

The only 2 little things I'd mention is that when we entered the room it was hot and there was no air, which was kind of rough to enter a room like that, but once we setup the AC all was good. And the second thing is that even with all that space, there was 1 toilet so if someone needed to get ready, the other couldn't go to the bathroom which was a bit annoying..

But I would highly recommend it and if I go back I know there's a world class hotel waiting for me..

The location is not so good .

I had a great stay at the Grand Hotel Millennium Sofia. The customer service was truly outstanding, staff were consistently attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming throughout my visit. The room was spacious, clean, and well-appointed with a great view over the city.

One downside: there is no pool area, which was a bit disappointing for a hotel of this category. However, the well-equipped spa and fitness facilities helped make up for it.

Overall, a high-quality hotel experience in Sofia.

A truly wonderful stay – despite some unpleasant company

I’m currently staying at this beautiful hotel in the heart of Sofia, and I couldn't be happier. The location is perfect, the rooms are spacious, spotless, and offer a stunning view of both the city and the surrounding nature. The staff here are exceptionally kind, polite, and helpful – whether at reception, breakfast, or housekeeping. Their warmth genuinely adds to the experience.

That’s why I feel compelled to say something after reading a series of negative reviews, mostly from certain tourists from israel. Having stayed here for two days now, I’ve witnessed firsthand the kind of entitled, disrespectful behavior that makes you wonder how some people function outside their own homes. Loud complaints, senseless arguments, and a general lack of basic manners – all directed at the very staff who go above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome.

Frankly, I’m more shocked by the vulgar attitude of these guests than by any of their so-called grievances. And then to see them leave negative reviews? What a performance. Honestly, it says more about them than it does about this fantastic hotel.

To the staff: you have my full respect and gratitude. You handle yourselves with more grace than most could ever manage ❤️
