At Herbal Boutique Hotel & Spa in Protaras

It was our second time at the AT Herbal and sadly this year we felt the hotel had gone downhill since our last visit in 2024. Whilst some aspects are good; the location is great and the rooms are pleasant with comfortable beds, just there are quite a few things which let the hotel down. Breakfast: there’s sort of everything but nothing. It’s not particularly fresh and most of the fruit is tinned. We also witnessed a tall female manager at the hotel be very rude to a waitress at breakfast over the milk being empty. This was very unprofessional and made us feel quite uncomfortable to watch. Communal areas are pretty clean however the room housekeeping has gone downhill since our last visit. We waited several days for bedding to be changed and there were also blood spots on the mattress topper. We spoke to the reception team and manager who said they would sort - they were helpful and seemed like they’d sort quickly however the bloody mattress topper was never changed. Beds didn’t ever seem to be made that well - the small details you’d expect in a four star hotel of this price point such as the mattress not being visible once the bed had been made isn’t a huge expectation.. A shame really - it wasn’t cheap. It does have the potential to be much better than it is.
