Atlantica Aqua Blue

Nice hotel, but I'd question 4 stars. It's only a couple of years old but there's flaws with the hotel. Cracked wall tiles where the bathroom mirror has been drilled to be fitted and the tiles have been broken. Several floor tiles around the pool are the same, some of which chunks are missing, which have been filled with poly filler. Even one of the lift tiles has been cracked. This is a singular tile measuring 4ft square, so how are they going to fix that? Around the pool are exposed sharp areas/protrusions or composite decking boards, which are bending or protruding that have been temporarily taped down or caution cones strategically placed to visually inform people. Some smaller tiles around the pool side dealing are loose near to ground floor of 601-610 apartments. The end of the season and the hotel is running out of choices of food and drinks. Food is quite offensive cold. Both roof restaurants had already closed due to end of the season, but nobody had been informed of this. Was told there was a pizza oven....still yet to find it. Entertainment balcony sofas are stained, and cigarette burns on several. Standards have slipped from the beginning of the season, but it's expected that you still pay premium rates for the experience which you're not getting.
Families are governed by the ridiculous British school term time rulings, who get penalised if children are taken on holiday in term time. You take the family in half term. As a result, the hotel is closing down around you!

Air conditioning is predominantly controlled from reception. It was too warm to sleep in the first few days, even when reception was requested to lower the temperature. 2 occasions reception were asked to lower the temperature, which was only acknowledged once making it awkward to sleep properly. I would return in future if they listened to feedback from guests, improved and reinvested to bring the hotel back upto speck.

I have recently returned from this hotel and couldn’t recommend it to family and friends enough! When we arrived our flight was delayed so didn’t get to the hotel until 4am however the night duty staff booked us in and provided us food and water so we didn’t go hungry free of charge. Room was lovely and clean but only negatives I would say is the shower needs a screen or something to stop the water getting all over the floor as our floor always had a pool of water after a shower even with a towel on the floor. Next I would say is the aircon wouldn’t go any lower than 23 degrees and wasn’t a constant flow which at night was getting on the warmer side. The finishing touches in the room were a little sloppy with paint on the furnishings but again this is very minor. Beds were so comfy along with pillows. The pools were lovely and clean but getting a sunbed was difficult as guests would reserved them at 07:30 despite the no reserving rule so often was left with a sunbed in the dirt out of the way. Food was the best we have had in a half board service and were so many options and themed nights for food. Couple of nights didn’t take our fancy but a quick drive into Ayia napa or Protaras was simple to go out to eat. On one occasion one of the staff came to pour our drinks and the rubber seal on the water container came off into my cup and then water went all over our table. The staff member stopped and looked at the rubber seal floating in my cup and just walked off and didn’t return. No apology or offer to dry our table or get me a fresh cup but it’s only water and can be cleaned but just the offer would’ve been nice. Other than this all staff in the restaurant were lovely even the bar too.
Last thing is a man from house keeping knocked twice on our door despite the do not disturb being turned on. This isn’t a problem as things can be not seen but my partner shouted no thank you twice as he couldn’t get to the door due to being injured. The male entered and my partner shouted loudly no thank you again due to being in bed trying to rest but the male walked straight in and said he needed to do a stock take of our fridge. This might be minor but if someone is shouting no thank you when you’re entering their room you shouldn’t enter and then when asked to leave don’t leave because you want to do a stock take then you should just leave. We had no problem at any staff entering our room and even when we had shouted no thank you in the past the staff were usually friendly and left us alone and said if we needed anything then to call. This did make us a bit wary about people coming into our room and didn’t appreciate not respecting our request but I believe his stocktake could’ve waited until the next day or asked us to call when we were ready.
Really love the hotel and would definitely return.

This was one of the best experiences we had. Lovely place, the room was truly amazing and so comfy. The pool was clean and really nice. The stuff super helpful and of course great breakfast.

Myself and two of my children (ages 6 and 13) have just returned home after a week at Atlantica Aqua Blue. The hotel was lovely with fabulous pools and a great splash pool for the children. The rooms were clean and well equipped with a completely mini bar. The cleaning staff were friendly and hardworking and our rooms were always serviced to a high standard. Being vegan we opted for half board rather than all inclusive, mainly because there is often limited food available. The hotel restaurant has a different food theme every night such as international, Mexican, Italian, Cypriot etc and there was a wide selection of non vegan food on offer with everything clearly labelled for anyone with dietary needs or allergies). We spoke to the chef (whose name was George) upon arrival and asked for pizza without cheese which he made immediately and delivered it personally to us at our table. Not only that he surprised us a couple of days later mentioning that he had sourced some vegan cheese for us and appeared at our table with pizza and three vegan friendly cupcakes which he had made for us earlier that afternoon. He really did go out of his way to make us feel special and it worked. His kindness blew us away. The waiting staff were all friendly and hardworking and it was obvious that they enjoyed their work. Georgio in particular stood out to us and always greeted us with a smile and took the time to chat with us. I could go on and on but there are far too many names to mention. They are a really friendly group of staff.
We had a lovely week and everyone and everything about the hotel was fabulous. It is situated a little further out than what we are used to but there is a bus stop right outside the door with frequent busses to Aiya Napa and paralimni for 1.50 euros each making travel effortless.
Some people have commented on the air conditioning being set too high but we found it ok, not cold but comfortable.
Overall a great week spent in the beautiful Cyprus sunshine and would recommend this hotel for anyone wanting a relaxing week away, especially those who with children.

Absolutely beautiful hotel but I must say there was 4 particular people that made our stay special! 3 bartenders - Pedro, Gabor and Emese. You guys were absolutely AMAZING, always smiling, great customer service and generally just wonderful people. But there is 1 special THANKYOU to georgi the waiter(uncle george🥹) who made our holiday as good as it was.

We had a situation where my partner really hurt himself and georgi was there to calm me down instantly with how calm and lovely he was. Coming from someone who suffers badly with aniexty he made me feel so much better about the situation🥹

Also a massive thankyou to Pedro who also made sure my partner was okay and didn't have concussion😂🤦🏻‍♀️

Sometimes it's not the holiday itself that makes it great but infact it's the staff that make it that way, so a massive thankyou to all 4 of you❤️ appreciate you guys. We truly do🥰

Brilliant place. Everything is really clean and tidy. Staff so far are beyond helpful and pleasant. We have a swim up room and it's great for a little personal space. Food is plentiful and there is a wonderful selection for all tastes at each meal. Snack bar has the best fries ;)
