Reviews
The biggest minus of this hotel was that there was a wedding there every single day (even during the week). Loud music and noise were the order of the day deep into the night.
⚫Intro
As an experienced traveller with over 168 reviews, mostly positive, I don’t focus on negatives lightly. However, for the cost and claimed holiday standard, this hotel fell short of expectations, delivering a mixed experience.
⚫Rooms
Sea-View Room: Comfortable with decent beds, great view, and convenient bedside controls. Met expectations for a relaxing stay. ✅👍
Jacuzzi Room Upgrade: Disappointing, identical to the sea-view room except for the jacuzzi with much higher cost. Not worth the extra cost. ❌👎
Cleanliness: Overall, the hotel was very clean with no complaints, except for a significant issue in the jacuzzi room where 🐜🐜🐜ants were found all over (on sides and bed), making it uncomfortable and feeling like a downgrade.
Air Conditioning: Very cold ❄️❄️with no effective temperature control—only an on/off setting, which was inconvenient. ❌
⚫Staff
Helpful Staff (70%): Most staff were polite and accommodating, contributing to a positive experience. ✅
Unhelpful Staff (30%): Some lacked hospitality skills, making guests feel like an inconvenience. Training seems lacking. ❌👎
Pool Cleaning Incident: A staff member cleaning the pool at 7:30 AM sprayed guests with cold water. When asked to stop, she dismissed requests with “no, no” and continued spraying me getting my books wet which made me very angry. If i had been asked i would of moved. (Video evidence available.) ❌👎
Reception Response: Reported the ant issue, but received an unhelpful “No, we don’t refund, this is your room. "followed by a long star and silence...(red haired lady) No solutions offered. ❌
⚫Food
Hit-and-Miss Quality: Over a 7-day all-inclusive stay, 4 nights had acceptable meals, but 3 were very poor. ❌
Lack of Variety: Repetitive dishes using similar bulk ingredients on the same night. If you didn’t like one dish, there were few alternatives, limiting choice. ❌
⚫Pools
Great for Families: The pools were a highlight, and the kids loved them. Well-maintained and enjoyable. ✅👍
⚫Entertainment
Evening Entertainment Room: Enjoyable at times but feels dated and tacky, not matching the hotel’s overall vibe. ❌
⚫Overall Value
Below Expectations: For the price and advertised standard, the holiday didn’t deliver. Issues like ants, unhelpful staff, and repetitive food detracted from the experience, despite positives like the pools, cleanliness, and sea-view room.
SOME staff need to be reminded we are paying to be there and even though the public can be annoying at times they should handle the CUSTOMER better.
For the food maybe have a simple score card box with what was liked and what wasn't to keep menu attractive. Must also be easy to see what doesn't get taken, many days i say the same levels on some foods with no-one touching it, this is very obvious....s top serving it.
The ‘entertainment’ is sadly lacking in the day and evening.
I’ve stayed at other places with a similar rating and the food here was below the standard of other places.
Right at the end of our holiday (21st June) a dog was walked through the pool area where we was sun bathing and towards the restaurant, at the bottom of the stairs the dog sadly decided it needed a toilet (not the liquid kind) there was no staff around so the owner disappeared into the restaurant and got some blue paper towel to clean up the mess, this was then put in a bin poolside.
I immediately emailed reception to report this but no one responded until after I got home, maybe I should’ve reported to reception, but this hotel was having 1-2 weddings a day with reception often being very busy, so I decided to try and do it without causing disruption (now wish I hadn’t)
The location itself is calm, away from noisy tourist crowds, and the harbor sea is very quiet without waves – ideal for small children or those who simply like to stand in the water. The rooms we stayed in were freshly renovated, nicely equipped, and cleaning service was excellent. The food was also a strong point: very good quality, a wide variety, and plenty of choice every day.
However, the most unpleasant and frustrating aspect of our stay was the sunbed situation. Even at 6:00 in the morning it was already difficult to find a decent place, as nearly all beds by the pool and even on the grass areas were “reserved” with towels. Most of those beds stayed empty until 10:00 or even 15:00, while other guests had no chance to find a spot. There was absolutely no control from hotel staff, and towels were never removed. This practice is unfair, extremely frustrating, and completely unacceptable for a hotel of this category. Instead of a relaxing holiday, we felt forced into a daily competition just to secure a place to sit.
The entertainment was another disappointment. Children’s disco took place indoors, always with the same few songs, and the entertainment team showed little motivation to engage with guests or organize proper shows. For a family hotel, this was very poor.
Overall, the hotel seems designed mainly for weddings and all-inclusive guests whose focus is on food and drinks rather than a balanced holiday experience. The infrastructure itself has potential, but it is not being used properly. During peak sun hours, it was also hard to find shaded or cooled areas, which made the stay even less comfortable.
Summary:
✔ Calm location, good for families with small kids
✔ Freshly renovated, clean rooms and excellent cleaning service
✔ Very good food with plenty of variety
✘ Sunbed reservation scandal – even at 6 am no good place left, with no staff control
✘ Poor entertainment, unmotivated team
✘ Too few shaded/cool areas during the day
Final impression:
A hotel with potential, good food, and clean rooms – but the mismanagement of sunbeds and lack of guest-oriented service turned what could have been a relaxing holiday into a daily disappointment.
However, there were several aspects that left us very disappointed:
• The food was extremely underwhelming. It lacked flavor, the quality of the ingredients was very poor, and breakfast in particular was unacceptable. Honestly, we’ve had far better food at hotels costing a third of the price.
• Water policy: We received two small bottles of water upon arrival and were then told to refill them at a water dispenser (one per floor). It was frustrating, especially since it took around 10 minutes just to fill two bottles due to how slow it was. This is the first time we’ve encountered something like this in a hotel.
• No air conditioning in common areas: The hallways had no air conditioning, which was unbearable in the heat. Even the reception area was not cooled in the evenings.
• Pool bar hours: The pool bar closed at 6 PM, which is absurd for an all-inclusive hotel. The pool was still busy at that time, and guests obviously prefer ordering drinks there rather than walking back into the hotel in wet swimwear.
• Hotel bar restrictions: The hotel bar was included in the all-inclusive package only until 11 PM. After that, you had to pay for drinks at the same bar, which we have never experienced in any other all-inclusive hotel.
Overall, this is not a hotel I would return to or recommend. Many of these policies feel like cost-cutting measures, which is unacceptable considering we paid €2,650 for our stay. A real disappointment.
