Reviews
The spreads and dips were plentiful as well, ranging from butter, honey, cream cheese, Nutella, jams, to peanut butter. Coffee lovers would be pleased to find four coffee machines on-site, ensuring minimal waiting time even during busy hours. A standout feature was the waffle maker that allowed guests to enjoy freshly made waffles.
While the breakfast was good overall, there’s always room for improvement to make it even more exceptional.
Our room had bugs, we requested to switch due to the bugs and cleanliness issues, the staff actually laughed at us. Right from check-in, the receptionist had an attitude and ignored our requests, making us feel unwelcome.
The rooms were dirty, poorly maintained, and breakfast was swarming with flies and below standard. We tried changing room, but it was just as bad. Then despite being promised a new room later, they gave it away to someone else, offering only a free drink since nothing comparable was available.
After three days of back and forth, we finally got a slightly cleaner room. For the record, we didn’t even ask to switch this time—just requested they properly clean the room we already had.
All in all, it was a terrible experience. With only five days to explore, we ended up wasting too much time and energy dealing with these issues instead of enjoying most of our trip.
Meanwhile, our friends stayed at a nearby hotel, had a much better experience, and paid less.
We had two suitcases and they took up most of the available area, we had to step over them for four days.
First day there was no housekeeping service. Had we known, we would not have thrown our wet towels on the floor.
Location was good for getting to downtown Berlin.
Upon arrival, however, I was told that the payment had not gone through and that I needed to pay in person. This made no sense since one room was charged successfully while the other wasn’t. Tired from our journey with a baby, five suitcases, and a stroller, we decided to just pay with a different card and get into our room.
During our 3-night stay, our room was never cleaned. Traveling with a baby means dealing with diaper trash, and the bin was never emptied. We had informed the reception in the morning about needing new towels and body wash, and they assured us that housekeeping would take care of it, but nothing was done. When we complained, the staff apologized and offered us two drink vouchers.
On the third day, we even found a bug in the bed. For the price we paid, we expected much better service. I later found out from another guest on the same floor that they also had not had their room cleaned in four days and were out of toilet paper and towels.
We had booked a room with a twin bed and a single bed for our baby but were given a room with a foldable bed with an exposed metal frame. The mattress was just placed on top and made a lot of noise, which was very uncomfortable. This was surprising because we booked a more expensive room compared to another room with a queen bed, thinking it would have a proper mattress. Usually, hotels offer free cots for babies, but not here.
Overall, the experience was far from what we expected from a 3-star hotel. I regret not choosing a different hotel for a better experience.
The rooms and service are top-tier!
The breakfast buffet is second to none! Oh How Good!
Would not recommend at all, better places for a cheaper price out there.
