Both hostels are close to bus and train stations, which makes getting around super easy. They’re also very affordable—especially if you use their app, where you can often find better deals.
The rooms are comfy, the beds are arranged in a way that makes everyone feel relaxed, and I loved that the bathroom and toilet are separate. There’s even a fan in the bathroom, which is great if you have long hair. Above each bed there’s a small reading light, so you can read at night without disturbing anyone else. Everything was clean and warm, and they also have safes where you can store your valuables.
The lobby is modern and cozy, with a pool table and table soccer, and the Wi-Fi works great. There’s also a nice guest kitchen and a secure storage room for bicycles.
The staff in both cities were friendly and helpful. Overall, a&o turned out to be a really pleasant surprise, and I’d definitely stay there again and recommend it to other travelers. Jus one recomendation add CASH payments!!!Cards dosen't work always especialy for us who are from different countrys. Who ever designed this hostel is a genious who knows well human needs.
The lobby is big and has many seats and a huge table with a lot of outlets to charge your devices.
The room was great too. I loved the bathroom, there’s a heated drying rack there. And there’s soap! And they provide towels for free!
There’s a breakfast buffet but we didn’t go there.
The only thing that I didn’t like was that there was some guy in our room who was almost always sleeping and he started arguing with the other guy at 8:30 in the morning. He was insulting him in German and that guy didn’t speak German. I think it was because that other guy was talking on the phone and laughing early in the morning? I guess he’s the boss there hahah.
But actually if they weren’t arguing, we would have been still sleeping and we’d be late. Because we didn’t have alarms. So it’s all good! I’m thankful for that!

- we got a room in the 8th floor & took the stairs because the elevator was to slow and small
But for the room it was only ok
- the room was pretty modern and big
- on the ground was stained blood
- there was no wardrobe to put clothes in
- I had to do myself the bed sheeting
- there was no amenities (I think because for the cheap room price)
Hopefully I was on first floor so it's ok.
Wifi is disconnecting every couple of minutes (in room 158) which is very annoying.
Coffee machine at the lobby is poorly maintained, clean cups are not regularly refilled.
The way from Berlinor Tor (U & S bahn Station) is under improvement works.
That means a huge amount of stairs to get from the station to the hostel
