Very dirty and old accommodation. We were given a room with 4 beds when we booked a double room. Dust and dirty spots all around. Hair dryer full of dust. The plaster on the walls is crumbling. The shower is broken. The price is TOO high for this type of accommodation. I wouldn't want to stay in this place again. I am very disappointed. The picture is too beautiful compared to reality.
It is located 15 minutes from the train station. This is the only plus I can say about this accommodation. However, the train station does not seem to be a safe place. I always tried to avoid it.
1. Customer service: almost null, people that work in the front desk don’t care at all about customers need. All of them are Indian people who don’t even try to speak either good English or German. I requested to pay for an upgrade for my room account and the guy he didn’t try to look in their system, he just said no. (Thanks he didn’t beacause after 3 days I realized this place isn’t a hotel/hostel is a hole)
2. Check in: so many people on line only 1 person in the front desk. Automatic check in does not work. They make you to do a form before your arrival that is only a waste of time.
3. Location: worst location in the city. Not safe and very crowded of people drinking. Not safe for a woman solo travel and for families.
4. Facilities: they have a good roof top and a bar in the deck in area. However to many people there it makes it uncomfortable.
5. Rooms: I was in a 6 female room it was clean but be aware the don’t have good ventilation even though Germany does not have AC system in the majority of the buildings this hotel don’t even have proper windows or any ventilation system to mitigate the situation.
Overall it was my worst experience ever. I have been traveling for more than 12 year and so far I can tell you please do not stay here! There are some better option in Hamburg even with the same price that you can choose.
The hostel is very rowdy and noisy at night.. some little teenager vomitted on the floor right in front whilst we were checking in.
I wonder about all those children at the hostel.. some definitely looked underage and there was clearly lot of alcohol going around.
Not family friendly.. its not a place you would want your kids exposed to if you want to bring up children away from bad influence.
I literally didn't sleep. I couldn't wait for the morning to come so we could checkout..
If you dont mind
1) grime,
2) rowdy teenagers until 2 o'clock in the morning
3) substandard hygiene, borderline disgusting
Then this would be a great place for you..
I would bring your own pillows or seriously consider adding more money for a better place to stay.
The location, as well as the whole city, is torn to shreds, there is nowhere left to look that isn't under renovation. Sure it's next to a station, so is every other hostel.
The metal beds make loud noises at every turn, the electric sockets do not work, the cliantele is mostly young and reckless (which is to be expected so it is actully fine), but there were also older people who don't have the same excuse to misbehave, the air in the rooms will make your throat hurt. You have to be heavily intoxicated to get a good sleep, in which case someone who isn't pays the price.
Dear whoever is thinking about staying here,
Pay just a few euros extra somewhere else and you will have a much more enjoyable time. I was ready to pay 50€ for a single room in the middle of the night after a customer punched my bed when I tried turning around in the creaky metal bed. It is unsafe, unsanitary and not worth ruining your trip.
Edit2: oh yeah, I also heard the unmistakable sound of someone pleasing himself in the dorm at night. Someone also came to the dorm after midnight talking on speaker phone. Again: I cant recommend the place.
The place connects all parts of the city and great view. Nice big rooms and clean with a bathroom that accommodate everything you might need really recommend it..
First time in Hamburg and we are glad that we stayed in this hotel. Standard of Cleaning really high. Tasty breakfast in a comfortable seats. The room had everything that you need.We will definitely recommend it. 🔝🔝 10/10
During my visit there were always kids screaming through the hallways at night.
The doors are so thin, that you are able to hear every whisper on the hallway, including other doors opening/closing.
Other guests ripped off my do-not-disturb-sign of my doorhandle twice. (Probably these kids)
The breakfast was surprisingly good and fresh, tho there were not enough places to sit.
I'm disappointed, I know it's cheap but I expected at least a clean room :(
location is good because it's right next to Berliner Tor Station.
