Steen's Hotel in Hamburg

I didnt feel this hotel is well cared compared to the price.

There is no registration person on-site, you must call a number to retrieve acode to access your key. The room was up 2 flights, with no elevator. The room was spacious, but the issue was the black moldgrowi g in the bathroom. It wasin numerous places on the walls and that was certainly a concern. We stayed 1 night then departed, agai , no one at registration.

Went here for accommodation for a concert. Spent 4 nights.

The hotel is situated 5 minutes walk to central station (Hauptbahnn Hof), perfect to get to events. 20 minutes to airport at €3.10. Taxi was €38! Airport train was S1 to Ohlsdorf which then goes to central.

Rooms very basic, no air con and TV had 2 working channels (German). WiFi was 7Mbps, so good enough to stream when back to hotel.

Bed was uncomfortable, very thin cover. No tea or coffee facilities in bedroom, and no hot water around 9am on mornings (just time I used it). I ended up using it cold, luckily it was warm weather.

Overall, 3 star rating would be fair. It was clean, but lack of services let it down. Walls very thin, so can hear others if they are loud. Staff friendly. Cold drinks available at reception at €3.

Downside is that there is no disabled access or lifts to rooms.

Near the train station.
Quite okay room but not more than that.
The toilet seat was loose and water was leaking onto the floor.
