Reviews
Pros: 1) The hotel is very close located, one stop to the congress center. 2) Favorable price.
Cons
1) I found a cockroach in the hotel (changed room).
2) In both rooms the batteries in the safe were dead and needed replacing
3) Housekeeping did not vacuum or mop the floors until asked (I have long hair and pee standing up, I can see that). There were days when the toilet wasn't cleaned either!
4) Window retainers were broken in the new room
5) The iron is given out in exchange for a 20 euro deposit and necessarily in cash (I didn't have cash in the evening and within the next day there were no more irons. As a result, I went to one event not dressed properly). 6) In the room there is not even a kettle, when on the third day I had a sore throat for hot water for tea I went to the reception.
Neutral 1) It takes 10 minutes to walk to the hotel 2) Direct metro line to central station (~35 minutes) 3) No stores nearby except for the one in the hotel (the nearest one is 20+ minutes away). 4) Breakfast for 14 euros (2024). About the quality I cannot say as I cannot visit.
Update: After a 2 hour wait they informed everybody that they don’t have any more rooms available at that point. For 170€ a night, this is definitely not ok.
Rooms:
- the room was stinking of cigarette smoke
- the cleaning of the room was done probably in least than 5 minutes
- it was almost like sleeping in an oven given that they don’t have AC
Location:
- relatively close to the metro station for the U2
1st, I requested to check early at the time of booking, I arranged my flight accordingly but at the hotel, they were not ready despite a confirmation text on the booking app saying it is ok to check in early for €35 which I agreed too. Staff were helpful to accommodate in another room temporarily but that meant moving rooms and luggage!
2- No phone in the rooms to call reception!!
3- most important is, the days I stayed, the weather was exceptionally hot. The hotel was clearly not equipped with anything to mitigate this. There wasn’t even a table fan! That has affected my stay quite a bit and I tried to stay outdoor for as long as possible. Staff couldn’t provide fans. Obviously, I would never stay in the summer.
Lastly, which is outside the hotel control but it’s worth mentioning, the hotel is about 10 min from nearest tube station, the way to hotel is partly unpaved which made dragging my luggage is very tricky!
There are definitely better places in Munich for this price. The distance to the city center is a bit far. And there is no market etc. around.
beds were good and nice quality
The staffs were friendly and the rooms have a keycard for access
hot water were there and spacious wardrobe were also there
Disliked · the rooms were a bit warm i would have liked if there was aircon, but opening windows would work also.
on the way to hotel from the train station there are many nightclubs which felt a bit different when going to stay with my family. But the hotel location itself is good as its a bit far from those clubs
Id recommend finding smth better if youre scared of bugs.
The hotel is about 700m mtrs from the nearest train station but an easy walk.
Very much recommend for singles, couples and families.
note - there is no air conditioning but a fan can be supplied on request. We stayed in Sept and it was still quite warm
