Eurostars Grand Central Mini-hotel

Good rooms, decent location but racist and rude staff. Please avoid if you are not a white person. Staff will ensure to make you feel like a 3rd grade citizen.

On 9th Sep 2024, one day before our checkout, we went to the reception to clear our dues. But we were told by Ms Shaina that she has blocked access to our room for a transaction issue on the hotel’s side. She shouted at us saying that we were freeloading at the hotel and lied to us on our face about trying to contact us. We tried to speak calmly to her and explain how the transaction had been processed by our bank but she refused to listen to us. She humiliated us in front of other guests and made the entire situation sound like we were not willing to pay our room tariff. We were forced to make another payment for our room, essentially paying a double charge. Becuase Ms Shaina had blocked our room access and my husband urgently needed medication for his eyes.

Had great expectations from Eurostars but Ms Shaina took it upon herself to ensure we have the worst possible experience.

Not sure if it was because Ms Shaina does not understand how credit cards work or the fact that we were not white because she was super nice and friendly to the white people who went before us. Anyhow, I will never stay at Eurostars again and strongly recommend non white folk to avoid it at all costs.
