Reviews
At checkout, they tried to charge me for the room again, despite payment being made upon arrival. They also added breakfast charges I had already paid for. After lengthy discussions, the bills were corrected.
The reception and restaurant staff were unfriendly, and housekeeping was subpar, cleaning late and not properly. No one assisted with carrying luggage to the rooms upon arrival or departure, which was very disappointing. Double-check bills and services before leaving.
Good:
Location is right across from Hbf and walkable to Munich Old Town. A little noisy at night.
Room was great - I used an upgrade as a Marriott member and had the large corner room, which is very comfortable.
Room is clean - no complaints here, everything works as it should, there are enough towels, and everything is spotless.
Breakfast is pretty standard business hotel breakfast, no complaints again.
Not good:
Took forever to get room ready. I kept getting promised a room, and eventually has to really get pushy at the reception, upon which my room magically was available. They keep telling me room will be ready soon and I'll be informed by the app, but just go ask at the counter.
No lounge in a business hotel? Didn't get any LM compensation too for no lounge access.
Absolutely small gym with way too few machines. At 6am, every cardio station was occupied!
Conclusion:
Can say its a good value place, but waiting for the rooms are a real issue - the staff just keeps saying the app will inform when in fact sometimes the room is ready and the app doesn't show it.
I won't return to stay here, and that's purely because as a tourist, there are better locations to stay at.
Our check in experience was great. Early room access, thoughtful service.
Breakfast is good to very good. The space is just ok, but the food mix was good.
Our room was located on the top level of the hotel (a standard “deluxe” room). Perhaps for this reason, we had issues with hotel WiFi and some issues with temp control. The beds were pretty average. The bathroom was excellent, modern shower and fixtures and really good lighting. Overall, however, room lighting was poor. Half the hotel faces the train station; we did not directly face the station and did not notice any train noise. So, location proves to be excellent without a detractor.
The biggest issue here was an elevator service problem our day of arrival. Only 1 of 3 elevators was in service for most of the day and night. This improved to 2 of 3 by day 2, but still represented an annoying inconvenience. This should be a temporary issue.
