I have traveled a lot but this hotel is the best I have ever stayed in. The location is absolutely great, the train station is right next to it, you can easily take a bus, tram or metro and travel around the city. Good restaurants and cafes nearby. The walk to the old town is not too long either. The service was very professional and friendly. The room was excellent in every way. Breakfast was good, although very expensive. The only minus was the slightly small contents of the minibar and the dirty mugs and spoons. Our room was missing bathrobes and slippers but we got them on request. The interior of the hotel was very comfortable. I will definitely come to this hotel again, a big recommendation.

We stayed at Mercure Muenchen City Center for 7 nights. The room was a 2 story room and we loved it. The hotel was easy to find from the Central Train Station. It is about a 3-4 minute walk from where we got off of the S1. There were always people walking down the street, but that is how you get around. We always felt safe. We did not have any issues with noise from the train station or anything else. The temperature was in the mid 40's so we did not have the windows opened. We never had to operate the heat. The staff was very kind and helpful. We had our breakfast included which was very convenient. There was a good variety of food. Eggs, bacon, different sausages, fruits, breads, meat & cheeses...plus more. It is about 4-5 blocks from Center City. There is a Lidl's at the end of the street for shopping, and small restaurants near. We spent most of our time walking around Center City. Overall I thought this was a great place to stay.

Excellent location, just steps away from Hbf. The room we got was interior so there wasn’t a nice view but we still got plenty of light. Great room size and quality for the price (we paid $96/night in February-March). Complimentary bottled water and juices in the mini fridge. Friendly helpful staff.

Well located, very close to Munich train station and old town.
The room was spacious and very comfortable. A special feature is the welcome free minibar.
A small drawback is that the glass door to the shower does not completely prevent water from splashing out.
The staff is enthusiastic and wonderful.
Breakfast is rich and delicious.
Overall, I am very satisfied with the three-night stay.

We had a short and very pleasant stay here. The room was functional and very comfortable. The shower was excellent--hot and good water pressure. And it was conveniently located with respect to the train station and old Munich. The area is not touristy but also not sketchy. Overall, a good experience.

It is probably not the best hotel in Munich, but if you are travelling through Europe via train - this is very well located. It is within easy walking distance of the major Train Station; and only a 10-minute walk back into the Old Town. The Staff were very friendly and courteous, and the rooms quite spacious. Our only complaint was a minor smell that seemed to linger in the room.

We stayed as a family at the Mercure Hotel Muenchen City Centre. The hotel was great: friendly, helpful staff and spacious rooms. Breakfast was fabulous! It’s a quick 10-15min walk into the historical centre and 5min to the central train station. Would absolutely stay here again!

I actually thought this was one of the most beautiful hotels we stayed in while in Europe. The room was huge and it had a whimsical staircase leading to a loft where our bed was. Shower was spacious and easy. There is an absolutely amazing Italian restaurant just a one minute walk away. Everything else surrounding the hotel was a bit dodgy. There was a youth hostel next door so people were standing around, hanging out outside at all hours of the night. Looked a bit run down everywhere with the exception of the hotel and the Italian restaurant, it was quite strange. It was a 20 minute walk to the city center, which really isn’t that bad except the walk is through like the most downtrodden area I’ve ever seen. Not dangerous but unexpected for sure. I loved the hotel itself but I don’t think I would stay there again. Just because of the area. I would try to get something closer to the city center.
