Mercure Munchen City Center

We had a short and very pleasant stay here. The room was functional and very comfortable. The shower was excellent--hot and good water pressure. And it was conveniently located with respect to the train station and old Munich. The area is not touristy but also not sketchy. Overall, a good experience.

A great hotel in a perfect location. Staff are so helpful and friendly- Rooms are large, clean and comfortable. Delicious breakfast- can’t fault this hotel- would stay here again!

It is probably not the best hotel in Munich, but if you are travelling through Europe via train - this is very well located. It is within easy walking distance of the major Train Station; and only a 10-minute walk back into the Old Town. The Staff were very friendly and courteous, and the rooms quite spacious. Our only complaint was a minor smell that seemed to linger in the room.

We stayed as a family at the Mercure Hotel Muenchen City Centre. The hotel was great: friendly, helpful staff and spacious rooms. Breakfast was fabulous! It’s a quick 10-15min walk into the historical centre and 5min to the central train station. Would absolutely stay here again!

I even had problem with cancelled flight, the accommodated me without any penalties then when my flight was changed the accommodated me again. AMAZING SERVICE! even gave me a great rate for late checkout

I actually thought this was one of the most beautiful hotels we stayed in while in Europe. The room was huge and it had a whimsical staircase leading to a loft where our bed was. Shower was spacious and easy. There is an absolutely amazing Italian restaurant just a one minute walk away. Everything else surrounding the hotel was a bit dodgy. There was a youth hostel next door so people were standing around, hanging out outside at all hours of the night. Looked a bit run down everywhere with the exception of the hotel and the Italian restaurant, it was quite strange. It was a 20 minute walk to the city center, which really isn’t that bad except the walk is through like the most downtrodden area I’ve ever seen. Not dangerous but unexpected for sure. I loved the hotel itself but I don’t think I would stay there again. Just because of the area. I would try to get something closer to the city center.

We booked this Hotel due to its location as we were visiting only for 2 nights to attended Oktoberfest.
The location suited us but the area is a little dirty.

The room was very large, clean with a little mini bar. We had a very nice view of a center courtyard.

Breakfast was buffet and had enough variety to cater. The only thing you could order additionally was the special which was a waffle when I was there. It was one of the beast waffles I have tasted.

The staff were friendly and even offered to take our group photo before we left for Oktoberfest.

CON - There was not a fitness center / gym on site and no in house laundry facilities.

There are better areas in Muncheon to stay in but this location was what we needed for our short stay and it is very close to the train station.

We stayed for two nights and was happy with the room and the experience at the hotel.
Our room was overlooking the main street, however it was quiet with the windows closed.

The service was excellent and even the mini bar items in the room was complimentary. It was also convenient for us to catch train for further travel to Berlin in the morning.

Hotel is well located, near trainstation and there is short walk to city center. Our room was clean and free minibar was nice surprise. Our room was also good size and quiet. Breakfast was good, lot of choices to choose. Staff were also nice. We had an early flight back home so we got breakfast-bag to our room.

The room was nice - spacious and clean. The free mini bar was really appreciated. Really close to Hauptbanhof so well placed for tourism. The air con didn’t seem to do anything in our room though so it was a little less comfortable than I usually like.
