AC Hotel by Marriott Punta Cana

The rooms are clean up-to-date. The price was amazing located next to the popular bars. Must try the pub bar.. the bartenders in the hotel were very nice. I would definitely recommend this place to friends reserve a room again.

I THINK this is a brand new location. Either way, the hotel is lovely. The lobby smells incredible. The decor is modern and bright and very clean. We dealt with two different front desk staff member Wil and P Salas. They were both very friendly and lovely.

The room is minimal, but very clean. We had a king size with a view of the pool. The shower is one of the ones with no door, so if you don't like that you might be unhappy. But I loved it! I'd say the rooms are in between. small and medium. Perfect for sleeping, but if you want to hang out in the room more than you want to be out, then you may not enjoy the size.

The bed was firm, not plush. The AC works well though. We were nice and cool as we slept.

The only complaint I have is that the tvs don't come with Netflix or allow you to connect your own HDMI so you can watch shows from your computer. This is a very specific complaint though and it definitely not a make or break.

We did peek at the breakfast the morning we checked out and it looked delicious, but I cannot vouch for the quality.

It's very close to the mall, and the ubers in the area range from $2 to $5 USD. It is NOT walking distance to the beach, and I wouldn't recommend walking anywhere besides the mall. There aren't a lot of sidewalks so you'll be walking in the street if you do decide to walk somwhere.

Also, outside of the hotel, the locals do NOT speak English. Not even a little bit. So be sure to have your translator app handy if you don't speak Spanish.

Overall if you are planning to stay in Punta Cana and not on a resort, I would recommend this hotel.

The pool is great and the rooms too.

Great room sizes, excellent service, best location; downtown and walking distance ( Less than 5 mins to a mall to get all your needs, and nice restaurants). One of the top restaurants recommended by Trip Advisor( Noah) to visit is right in front for the main entrance to this hotel.

Staff were attentive and gave us blankets, extra extra towels. Nice pool too. I didn’t try the breakfast as it had limited options.

We ate out all through our stay and decided to eat our last dinner at the hotel restaurant! The food was excellent and I wish I had eaten more here.

I stayed at this property after an unexpected need to extend my stay and I am so glad I did. Every staff member I encountered was friendly and went above and beyond. The rooms were clean and comfortable. I would share this with anyone looking for a very chill vibe with great rooms (most comfy bed!!!) and cool pool area.

This was an excellent find. We got this as a package deal from Expedia. The room was absolutely beautiful. It was a pool facing Queen Deluxe room. It had 2 queen size beds, which was perfect for our group. It's a walking distance from the downtown mall, and we were able to be walk to do our groceries and change our money and is close to Coco Bongo, which was one of our activities as well as other restaurants. The food at the restaurant was good as well and the service and staff was good.

The environment is serene, and pool was lovely too. It's family friendly.

I stayed at the AC Marriott near downtown Punta Cana. I enjoyed the hotel and the amenities. Anything I needed the staff was more than helpful. I would also like to thank Ruth a server who worked the bar/restaurant at the hotel. Ruth was very attentive and every morning she knew exactly what I wanted.
The front desk staff were very helpful and attentive as well. I will stay at this hotel again.
The pool area was very relaxing and kept clean.
One thing to suggest is that the hotel has some form of entertainment for guests.

Close to shops and other options for dining. Los Corales beach was far and very beautiful.
