Bellagio Beach Resort & Spa

Rooms are a bit dated and worn, I could live with that though, what was most disappointing is the service, the staff are extremely rude and have no concept of customer service, surely this is a must in the hospitality industry? I would often get looked through as if I'm invisible when waiting to be served and staff would continue conversing with each other and performing other menial duties before finally acknowledging me and taking my order/request. This was the case at the bar, in the dining area and surprisingly even at the reception. Once or twice I could have just shrugged it off but this was the case throughout my entire trip. Other customers would seem to get preferential treatment, drinks brought to their tables etc, this was never the case for me. The food selection for vegetarians was extremely poor, had to make do with pizza or pastas most nights, when I asked for something a bit more custom, I was told this could not be done. The only positive staff I experienced was from the friendly housekeeping guy, the security guard by the front door and one lady behind reception who was helpful. WiFi was very sketchy at best but there was a period of about half a day where there was none at all. The small beach area looked man made and was very busy and built up, there wasn't many great views to take in. The animation/entertainment was fairly good. The drinks were also very good, there was an extensive selection of local beers, wines and spirits on offer, I think these were the only real positives of the trip. I'm sure there are plenty of other places with better facilities and service, in this place I just felt cattle, they've taken my money and I just had to accept what was thrown my way. Avoid it, stick to branded chains with trusted hospitality.
