I’ve stayed at many hotels in Hurghada before, but Mirage Bay Resort & Aqua Park Lilly Land is by far the worst.
From day one, the AC was broken, there was no hot water, and in some rooms no functioning showers at all. The electricity kept cutting out several times every hour, making it impossible to rest or sleep.
The bathroom was full of ants, and the entire room reeked of sewage. The smell was unbearable. We couldn’t even stay in the room without feeling sick. Despite several complaints, the staff did absolutely nothing to help – service was almost non-existent.
The food included in the all-inclusive package was cold, tasteless, and at times inedible. There was no variety, questionable hygiene, and it was served in a chaotic environment.
To sum it up:

✔ Completely unacceptable accommodation
Avoid this place if you care about your health, comfort, or vacation experience.
In the bathroom the hot water is not working. I told 3 time to the reception that we don t have runnig water to take a shower and they did nothing….we washed with cold tap water…
In the room we had a big lizzard.
In the second night the electricity went out and it was a chaos outside, everyone stayed with theys phone flashlights till the NEXT DAY!
very bad resort .. the rooms are very far from the restaurant and beach .. no food variety .. food is bad taste .. only desserts are of average taste .. bed sheets and blankets are dirty ..staff and reception are bad and not co-operative. i dont advise this resort.
One of the biggest issues was the air conditioning—it barely worked in the lobby and restaurant, making it very uncomfortable, especially in the heat. The restaurant itself was also a letdown, with flies around, bland food, and no variety. The meals felt more like simple home-cooked food rather than what you’d expect from a 4-star hotel.
The rooms were nice, but they had several issues. The water flow was extremely slow, making even a quick shower frustrating. Even worse, there was no telephone in the room, so if you had any issues, you had to physically go to the lobby to report them.
The beach was beautiful, but good luck finding a chaise lounge to sit on. Even if you do manage to find one, most of them are broken, and you have to sit in the default chair position because they won’t adjust.
The animation team was one of the biggest disappointments. Most of them did nothing except take photos to prove they were working, while in reality, they just chatted with female guests. I even saw one of them spraying a guest with a water gun while she was reading a book—completely unprofessional and not funny at all. They also didn’t organize any proper shows, just played background music, and that was it. The only exception was Mr. Islam, who was very kind, but unfortunately, I only met him on my last day.
Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel unless they make serious improvements to their facilities, food quality, and staff professionalism. There are much better options in Hurghada for the same price.
