The food was delicious with a nice variety every day, and the restaurant had a cozy atmosphere. I especially enjoyed the fresh seafood and local dishes. The pool area and beach were well-kept, with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas, making it a great spot to relax.
One of the highlights was the animation team – they were energetic and made the evenings fun with different activities and shows. It really added to the experience.
Overall, Shams Safaga Hotel offers great value for money, a relaxing atmosphere, and genuine hospitality. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful beach holiday in Egypt ❤️❤️❤️❤️😍
Terrible service: 3 out of 4 staff members are rude. The Wi-Fi? Non-existent. When the technician finally shows up, he tries to “fix” an issue that has nothing to do with the actual problem, and the moment you try to explain, he gets irritated and cuts you off.
The food is absolutely mediocre, bland, and lacking any variety. The pools? What a joke — instead of tiles, the bottom is covered with cheap plastic liners, giving the whole place a low-quality feel.
Most of the equipment is falling apart: broken drying racks, damaged wardrobes, nothing is properly maintained.
On top of that, there is absolutely no entertainment. In the evening the hotel is dead, while the neighboring hotels are full of life with loud music, great crowds, and big lights that make you want to be there instead. Sadly, our hotel was just boring and depressing in comparison.
Having already stayed in another hotel in Egypt, I can compare — and this one was not only disappointing but downright disgusting. It doesn’t deserve its stars and gives a terrible image of local hospitality.
👉 Avoid this place, there are far better options for the same price.
But to be fair, the location is nice with a sea view from the lodge.
Update: As if things weren’t bad enough, the hotel has been without running water for over ≈ 8 hours. Each time we ask reception, they say “15 minutes” — but hours and hours go by with still nothing. No showers, no flushing toilets, not even basic handwashing. Completely unacceptable for any hotel, let alone one pretending to be star-rated.
Service and staff are so friendly and helpful.

The room is good, the food is varied, and the beach is sandy with several snorkeling spots. In the evening, the animation team is wonderful.
There are billiards, table tennis, and squash.
I recommend it — considering its price and services, it’s very nice.
