Somabay Kempinski in Hurghada. The room facilities, breakfast, dinner and beautiful views are all online. However, many netizens have mentioned that they are not as enthusiastic towards Asians as towards whites. For example, for breakfast for 3 days, I only met a waiter who took the initiative to ask what coffee I wanted on one day. No one asked for it on the other two days. When the waiter was collecting the plates, I mentioned that I needed coffee. He brought it almost 10 minutes later. During this period, he brought coffee and tea to several white guests who had just sat at the table next to me several times. He didn't forget, but he ignored you and was rude. It's not a communication problem in English. I have lived in the United States for more than ten years and I think I have no accent in English. Moreover, the waiter was very enthusiastic to bring coffee on the first day of the breakfast buffet, and I gave a tip. More than 90% of the tourists are white, and most of them don't tip, after all, it's just a breakfast buffet. However, the hotel is in a good location with a shuttle to the snorkeling pier. Walking to the supermarket and several restaurants next to it (I tried three Chinese and Western restaurants, all tasted average), it's not as good as the hotel dinner buffet. SOMABAY is very windy, very windy! I came from Beijing and I also felt that it was very strong... It's not good, so I can only go to the SPA. It's heated poor and I can't play in the lazy river. It's a pity...

I stayed at the Castle Hotel first and then the Kempinski. I can only say that the food, service and rooms are much better than the Castle Hotel! The hotel beach is also of high quality. You can also go to the jetty platform for snorkeling by taking the resort's shuttle bus. In general, it is a very comfortable hotel in Hurghada (the only drawback is that there is nothing to do around, and it is a bit boring at night

Overall, it is a very good resort hotel. We stayed there during the Spring Festival. The room was very large and clean. We chose the half-board buffet restaurant, which had good breakfast and dinner. There are also other restaurants that we can choose at our own expense. There are many activities for entertainment. We basically played tennis in the morning and went to the beach to snorkel, swim, or dig sand in the afternoon. You can see the coral reefs by walking down the beach in front of the hotel. It is very convenient and you don't need to go to the pier. It is also very shallow, which is friendly for those who can't swim. The water was not too cold during the Spring Festival. Another very touching point is that it happened to be a child's birthday during our stay. The hotel sent a birthday cake and decorated the room. We were not told about this in advance, which gave us a surprise. Overall, the Spring Festival vacation was very happy and I recommend it to Chinese people.

It was a very good trip. The hotel service was good and hygienic. Except that the food was not suitable for the appetite of the oriental country, everything else was perfect. I will choose Kempinski again next time.

Beware of the disgusting operation of the hotel! It is recommended that you carefully check the room facilities before checking in, otherwise you will be framed for damaging the room items when checking out. We were about to go to the airport to catch a flight, and the front desk told us that the balcony glass in the room was damaged. After we explained that the balcony glass was not damaged, we were still prevented from getting on the car to the airport. Fortunately, there are photos taken when we checked in, which can prove that the balcony glass was damaged before checking in, but the damaged part was too small so we did not find it when we checked in.
Why didn't the hotel carefully check before the guests checked in and provide the room with safety hazards to the guests? The damage that can be checked after checking out was not found before checking in. Is it intentional to ask for high compensation? Very disgusting operation, extremely bad.

Very relaxing hotel for vacation. The beach is full of white people lying in the sun. It seems that most of them are middle-aged and elderly. The waiters are very good at service. There is a great snorkeling beach next door. There are many fish and corals on the seabed. It is really not much different from going out to sea.

A wonderful hotel with a lovely garden complex with beautiful flowers and oriental-style pools and direct access to the beach with umbrellas and beach chairs.
The sunrises (and especially the sunsets) are breathtaking at the beach of the hotel!
I stayed there for three nights with a friend, and I enjoyed every second of it!
Every single member of staff was very friendly, warm and welcoming to us.
Kudos to Mr A. Sultan, the chef of the fish corner at the dinner buffet, who prepared delicious fresh fish with a passion for detail. For every night during my stay, I had to eat those delicious fish dishes!
And I would also like to thank the entire team at the beach and Beachcomber Bar who always made sure that we had everything we needed (towels, shade, cocktails, olives, beer…).
I especially recommend the „Tangerine Fizz“, a citrussy cocktail with rum!

Kempinski Soma Bay is truly one of the best hotels worldwide. The staff are incredibly friendly, the food is excellent, and the beach is stunning. With a well-equipped gym and a beautiful pool, it’s perfect for relaxation and fitness. Highly recommended for an unforgettable stay!
