The only minor downside was that our room felt a bit outdated – a renovation would definitely bring it up to the level of the rest of the hotel.
But everything else more than made up for it! The beach is beautiful, and the snorkelling opportunities are simply amazing. The buffet selection at both breakfast and dinner was outstanding – so much variety and everything was delicious. The meals were truly amazing, with a huge variety of steaks, fish, vegetables, fruits, cheeses, and more – there was something for everyone.
The real highlight, though, was the staff. Everyone we met was kind, helpful, and professional. A special thank you to Amr, Ahmed, and Diaa – they truly went above and beyond to make our stay memorable.
We can’t wait to come back!
The room service guy is very nice and comes whenever you call. He greets you warmly every time he passes by. The sand on the private beach is relatively fine. If you want to go to the pier, there are free shuttle buses all day, but I think the hotel's private beach is beautiful enough.
The hotel restaurant service staff is very bad. They treat white people and Chinese differently. My husband was not allowed to enter the restaurant because he was wearing slippers. The restaurant manager emphasized the dress code to me. Of course I knew it, but when two other white people entered on the same day, all the staff and managers pretended not to see it. It was really bad!
We are on holiday at Kempinski for the second time. We travel very often and have visited many countries and hotels.
And I can confidently say that Kempinski Soma Bay is number N 1 on our list of favorite hotels to which we want to return!
High level of service, excellent food, live music in the evenings.

Very good experience .. unfortunately we spent only 2 nights which were really special.
Most things that I loved :
Room is spacious, clean , well decorated and view is outstanding..
Hotel is well constructed, clean and in a very good location in Soma bay.
Service is top notch 👌. Everyone there wanted to ensure that we are satisfied.
I called them before arrival for a decoration and when we arrived everything was pre arranged and they checked us in very quickly.
Good to Mention Ms. Madonna from main restaurant who really was so helpful and friendly , and Salma from Turtle club who took many beautiful photos to our family and was so nice to my daughter.
Kids Animation team offer a full day schedule for kids which is really useful for a family vacation and let parents have a break time alone.
Food is varied and of very good quality in breakfast and dinner.
As a coffee lover, Latte is the best I have ever had on a breakfast in any hotel in Egypt.
Main restaurant is well located and view from the terrace is unbeatable.
Lazy river is nice and amusing.
Beach is sandy , clean and one of the best on the red sea coast.
Things need more attention:
Animation team at night is very weak and no music or activities on adults pool.
Another thing to mention, it will be better if there is an all inclusive package for a better accommodation.
