Hotel Puerta de Toledo

This hotel in front of the arc Puerta de Toledo, at walking distance to the Plaza Mayor. The hotel decoration is very nice with cheerful and colorful paintings, with different themes on each floor.
The rooms have flat tv, air conditioning, minibar, bathtubs, shower, amenities and WIFi.
The noise is relatively low due the acoustic windows.
The service is also good.
The coffee break is not great, but it is ok.
There is a park lot just for small vehicles.

Location is the main attraction for this hotel. Situated in the center of Madrid in the happening neighborhood of La Latina, with the Palacio Real close by on one stretch and the Museo Nacional/Paseo del Prado on the other stretch. Both stretches are within walking distance and easily covered in a day. Hotel rooms and bathrooms are very clean, comfortable, with lockers, small fridges, and rooms are strictly non-smoking. The lobby has quite a large, nicely decorated, cafe/restaurant/bar to grab morning coffee or an evening drink. There is also covered outdoor seating around the front entrance that is nicely enclosed from the traffic of the Puerta de Toledo roundabout. The staff was very helpful and accommodating as the lady at the reception allowed me to check-in earlier which allowed me to start my day in the city quite early. This is a no-frills and convenient hotel to relax, and feel at home, while being close to very cute neighborhoods in the center of Madrid.

I like this midrange hotel because it is comfortable, located in a nice part of the city, and provides excellent value compared to more expensive hotels.

I had a great experience at this hotel. Check in was quick and all information (wifi, breakfast times, etc) given immediately. Room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was absolutely amazing!!! At the time of this writing, free drink offered if you elect to skip a night of room cleaning. Works for me. Hotel is close to various bus routes and a metro line. I felt safe the entire time. I'd stay again and would recommend.

The hotel's biggest asset is their staff.
The breakfast crew (Sofia, Katherine and Alicia) were very accommodating. I suffer from allergies and intolerances and they couldn't have done more to help me. They were very friendly, professional and very attentive. They received constructive feedback with care and looking how to make our stay better.
Our housekeeping lady (Katy) has great eye for detail, very perceptive and very professional.
The hotel is very well located, step free, family friendly. With many facilities such as parking and local transport.
Great value for money indeed.

Great location, beautiful rooms, clean and tidy. Breakfast buffet well prepared and very tasty, although I'd add some vegetarian option to it. Amazing staff - Alicia was superb!

I recently visited the hotel. It has been fully refurbished and the reception area improved with a great coffee bar service.

Friendly staff, clean rooms and a good breakfast selection. Hotel is perfectly situated. About a 20 minute walk to all the key tourist parts and only 5 minutes from El Rastro on a Sunday. Would definitely use again if go back to Madrid.

The place was perfect but some improvements can be mentioned. Brown wood carpenters can be found in the bathroom. I suspect the come out around the toilet. Sink drain is not working well, it’s slow to drain water, toothpaste and shavings. Otherwise we enjoyed the location and charm of the place. Great breakfast. Add soya beverages for cereal as not everyone can eat dairy.
