I really wanted to like the Ibis Madrid Aeropuerto Barajas, hoping to end my trip in a modern, clean hotel near the airport. Unfortunately, the lack of professionalism from the front desk staff ruined my experience. Upon arrival, I requested an extra bed sheet by phone, but it never arrived. I followed up in person at the front desk and was assured it would be taken care of. After dinner, I returned to find a young man at the front desk joking around with friends. When I asked about the sheet, he casually told me they had run out—an odd excuse for a hotel. Do they really have only as many sheets as beds? No extras? His disinterest was clear, even pretending to check drawers that obviously didn’t store sheets. For a €140-a-night hotel, I expected much better service. What a shame for such a simple request to be mishandled.

I liked the hotel very much: good service and ambiance, I received a nice room, conveniently close to the airport reachable by the Metro (1 station). It was one of the few hotel in that week that had a decent price due to an ongoing medical congress.

Needed a place to stay near the airport before my flight.
Pros are its a modern ibis, so it's clean and stylish.
Con is it's a bit of a pita to get to. I tried taking a bus from the airport (after dropping off my rental) and ended up going the wrong direction. There is no hotel service so they recommend either cab or public transit (with no details)
Not a deal breaker but definitely a missed opportunity given they are so close to the airport.

Very near to the airport but you cannot walk from there. The room is clean but very uncomfortable. The bed was to noisy and bad quality mattress. The floor crakers every time you go to the bathroom. The AC wasn't working. One terrible night to rest.

Simple yet professional and accessible. Near the airport, shops and restaurants. And a major grocery store is right next door. But the best part is they have an incredible buffet breakfast for less than 13 euros! And it starts at 4 am for us worldwide travelers! I totally recommend this hotel.

Taxi outside IBIS hotel very bad. Charged 20€ for 5m / 3.5Kms ride. Very snobbish and arrogant taxi from freenow !!
Also the hotel doesn't offer breakfast and asks to pay separately.

On the plus side, great location near the airport for a fair price, friendly people, good food, clean, nice AC, and good beds. On the negative side the rooms are small, no fridge, no safe, no closet and only two scratchy towels provided. Minimalistic. Some good restaurants nearby.

The staff in reception was great, caring and very helpful. The hotel is nice and clean and the rooms are comfortable. Perhaps not the greatest location if you want to do things in the centre of the city, although it is easily accessible but a great location when you have to catch an early flight in the morning.

Always a good stay at Ibises. Room was nice, staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast is always a good deal. This particular Ibis was right on top of a grocery store, and there were lots of good restaurants nearby.

A hotel is close to airport at terminal 4, you can be reached by bus at a nominal price. The hotel is animal friendly and especially dogs may not suit to some. But what distinguishes the employees are kind and helpful.
