Mandarin Oriental, Ritz Hotel

Stunning European jewel next to El Prado museum and Parque El Retiro. You can appreciate the level of attention that it’s provided by the staff. From the welcoming to the departure, excellent service. The room clean, fresh, pristine. Warm towels provided along with a very good amenity kit. The courtyard restaurant is very accessible and a great place to catch some tea and a snack. They also offer full meals there. It truly is a beautiful hotel and what makes it better is the attentiveness of the staff. It’s worth every penny.

I stayed at Mandarin Oriental Ritz, Madrid for two nights in September through the Fans of M.O. friends & family program. The package included complimentary breakfast, early check-in and late check-out until 6 PM, and a $200 hotel credit.

Although the hotel usually doesn’t upgrade beyond the booked category, I received a beautiful room with a terrace and an incredible view. There was a small issue with the air conditioning, which was immediately fixed.

What truly touched me was their attention to personal details: the team knew I was allergic to their standard soap, so they actually purchased special soaps just for me. That level of care was simply heartwarming.

The spa is fantastic, the gym is professional, and the entire atmosphere feels like family. After my stay, the General Manager personally reached out, showing genuine appreciation and class.

Having stayed at nearly every luxury hotel in Madrid, I can confidently say this is the best in the city. For anyone who truly understands quality Mandarin Oriental Ritz is unmatched.

We spent a weekend at this wonderful hotel to celebrate a special occasion, and everything was simply perfect. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful, with great attention to detail and a truly relaxing atmosphere. What really made our stay unforgettable, though, was the staff — their kindness, professionalism, and genuine care went beyond the expected to make sure we had an amazing time. Every interaction felt warm and personal.

I stayed at the Ritz in Madrid some time ago for business, and it was an absolutely unforgettable experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel genuinely welcome with impeccable attention to detail and warmth. The hotel itself is stunning, a perfect blend of timeless elegance and modern comfort. My room was beautifully appointed, with luxurious touches and an incredible level of cleanliness.

Breakfast was a highlight, especially the fresh orange juice, which was fantastic. The dining experience throughout my stay was exceptional. The location is ideal as well, right in the heart of Madrid, making it easy to explore the city’s rich culture and attractions.

What stood out the most was the staff, who were consistently attentive, professional, and very good at making every interaction feel special. They truly go above and beyond.

This is without a doubt one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had. I would recommend the Ritz Madrid to anyone seeking true luxury and an unforgettable stay.

Overall beautiful hotel... wonderful and pituresque in a perfect location. We had a beautiful deluxe room, and the quality and service was outstanding. The food and drinks were also fantastic, and John at the lobby Bar was the star of the stay. We did have one issue with the outdoor patio, with ZERO service after ~25 from being seated. - even AFTER asking for assistance ~15 into our wait.. The team did apologize and made up for it, but John and the team in the main bar took much better care of us.

Outstanding property with a great location. Next to the Prado museum and shopping within walking range, as well as many dining options. Highly recommended!

One of the best 5 star hotels in my opinion, perfect location, excellent service, and great amenities! Especially impressed by the outstanding communication skills of the staff and overall efficiency and effectiveness of responses to requests. We also enjoyed the Michelin star restaurant - Deessa a lot!

The hotel is great, but before the renovation the rooms were quieter. Now the door to the room is not soundproof (you can see the light under the door from the hallway), when guests talk in the hallway, or when luggage or service carts are rolled out, you can hear them in the room. This is the only significant drawback of the hotel.
